CoD4 new gametypes! Perks? Maps?

I'm prying the winners list from the design team as we speak. Sorry it's taken so long, but hopefully we'll be sending out prizing soon. As soon as they're finished translated and through QA. We found some bugs in a few of them, so we're working on fixes and / or additional playlists to try out.

We're hoping to get new playlists into the game, but other than that we have to start looking forward to future projects. We love making map packs and DLC for our games as long as possible, but eventually we have to start working on future projects so we can continue to raise the bar, project to project.

It's a shame really. They should at least release the winning maps and since the holidays are coming up Winter Crash (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B1Kiv9zn8ys). I miss playing on pc. At least it seems like IW is focused on their next release.

Besides the sabotage, I think the game types will be good, but I agree they should release something.. man.. CoD3 had 3 map packs for 360 if I remember right.. oh well.. on to CoD World at War!

Lol figures. I just wish IW would have released more weapons with it. I know it wont take long for waw to get boring going through the prestiges agian...

IW is horrible with releasing updates in my opinion.. they sell a lot of games, give you a couple of things and then go back to working on selling 15 million more copies of the next game..

Say what you will about Treyarch but they on the other hand, at least from experience with CoD3, constantly releases new map packs... and ones people like too (chinatown? vote to skip is all I heard) I think there were like three map packs from them for CoD3.. and they were BIG... 5 maps in one case.. I imagine that to keep this game fresh and relevant they may play with the perks or challenges also.. or maybe issue new achievements.. especially since I read that the REAL Call of Duty 5 (this isnt remember) has been delayed already by IW until 2010.

I do wish that IW issues another map pack, or at least new game types prior to the release of CoD WW. Since they haven't at this point, I honestly don't know if they ever will now.. Activision would likely rather pump up the sales of the new game as opposed to drawing people away from purchasing it by keeping them interested in playing CoD4... something they profited from almost a year ago now.

True, from a designer stand point its almost usless to make stuff for COD4 agian. I dont blame them for wanting to push a new title, BUT! I do urge BUT, they wouldnt have had as many people go back to rainbow or other games if they would have added a bit more. I mean alot of people never dled the map pack because it sucked. The only decent map in there is backlot. Killhouse and CT are trash... ITs sad when you can see a designers focus when you play a game. IW is all about sales thats about it.

If IW did for COD4 like ubi-soft did for graw 2 then it would have been a much better game. look at graw 2 you have 5 dlc packs ,1 gun pack, 2 co-op packs and 2 throwback map pack for multiplayer and the throwback packs had 7 maps each even if they where from previous game atleast they did something. if IW had done this or even something close to this for COD4 then it would have had much better sales and more people playing.
