hmm i hope it is soon because the previews on inside xbox look really cool. and the best thing is IT IS FREE!! lol

Reports say around November. However at the official public unveiling at PAX, Larry Herb (Better known as X-Box Lives Major Nelson) said "In the coming months, around first quarter of '09." That could mean late November, it could also mean early April.
I have this feeling they may wait until after christmas to launch it, so that there isnt a massive update all at once from people getting their new XBox's on line over christmas.
Thats just my feeling though.

looks really amazing. i don't care when its released. as long as we dont have to deal with alot of issues. i could care less about the release date.

I seriously doubt it will be out end of September. It looks neat, but there is still alot of polish left to be done, as well as ALOT of blanks that need to be filled in in the interface.
Ive already spotted several differences from the pictures i took at pax, to the new internal screens ive seen up on the web in the last couple of days. So it is still very much a work in progress. And in dont think even MS could do that much work in that short of a time.
The date that alot of eople seem to keep hinting at is November 22nd. Which would be XBox "birthday" of sorts.
That date makes sense, and would give enough time for completing the development cycle, and also for testing.
If it doesnt happen by the 22nd, then i wouldnt expect it untill the first part of '09.
