I love Final Fantasy (playing through FF IV Advance atm) :) Heck, the reason I got my PS2 is because it had the most FF games. I'll have a complete collection of Playstation FF games (in new condition!) fairly soon...

FF X had a few too many cutscenes in my opinion. I like how the cutscenes in the older ones used the game engine to do them instead of taking you out of the gameplay to show you something in CGI. I'm a Half Life fan for just that reason... you don't even lose control of Gordon during a cutscene (if you can use the term cutscene in Half Life). FF VI is my favorite so far - I'm trying to get my hands on FF VII although it isn't easy in this day and age.

i never really got into Final Fantasy, i played 7 back in the day with my friends ps1. and i just didnt get into it. i did play FF X-2 recently, it was pretty good, but i took it back and got Kingdom Hearts 2 :p

Final fantasy is great.. but it seems to have been losing its charm in recent years (IMO). 7 was great because the emotion it evoked. 9 was awesome from a character design standpoint. 10 was fun to play.. i hated 10x2. When it promptly states "you scored 2x ether down"... thats when I walk away.

I want to loose myself in an RPG, not be educated on the cool catch phrases often found on TRL. (again.. just my opinion.. may have been a great game.. but thats a personal pet peve of mine.. when things try to adopt whats "hip" and "cool" in order to sell.. rather than do so through original IP/story)

That said, I've heard that Final Fantasy XII is going to be fantastic and from what little i've seen and read on Final Fantasy XIII it also looks to be great.

If you have an x360 and liked Final Fantasy.. check out Blue Dragon and Lost Oddessey when they're released. They're by one of the developers who worked on many of the early iterations of final fantasy.

i really liked ffIX, FFX is awesome, i kinda liked FF x-2 (mostly cuz rikku was so damn hot in that game xD ) but its not really as fun as FFX...and ofc FF7 ftw :P

Ohhh, where to start!?

I grew up with Final Fantasy among other games when I was younger and have managed to collect every single Final Fantasy that has released in the US (including all the collections for the PS1 as well as the Collector's Edition of FFXII for the PS2). They have always been unique games, but my favortie stands out as FFVII. Seven was THE RPG that really took over my life for the months after it released (the other FF's have done that too, but not to the effect that VII had). It had gorgeous (at the time) graphics, excellent and mature storyline, great gameplay, excellent music (which I bought both the official soundtrack and the piano soundtrack), and of course, Sephiroth. As much as I love VIII, IX, X, X-2...I'll always remember VII as being the pinnicle of what an RPG should have been.

Truthfully...FFVII was also the first game to ever make me cry. I would NEVER have expected in my life to do that for a videogame, but watching one of the best, most loveable character die with awesomely orchestrated music in the background...*sighs* still makes me sad to this day!

BTW: Spirits Within was a great movie (at least for me). I know the story could've been better and the acting could've been better...but the visuals (surpasses The Incredibles) and the whole emotional aspect was excellent. Advent Children was also excellent and I believe as much as it didn't make much sense...they did it because we wanted it. It was definitely worth the wait!

Ok here's the scoop on the poop. This game plays like FF XI as you get a delay in the allacks and it is sorta like a real time battle system. you can use the right analog controler to change the camra, but they did make that a little nerf. They should have given the player the ablity to change the way that works e.g up is down left is right. The game play is flawless to a point. You can not use items from the submenu you'll see why when you playand the license points take time to build up (you need to get a license to use equipment and spells) and gils a little slow, but on the bright side of gil, you can do some quest to get more. And the Grahpics are cleaner then FFX and FFX-I with some sweet CS to boot. Oh and just a foot note (you won't beleave it but) a friend of mine found out that there where codes for this at Action Replay on release date. I'll let yiu know how the summons are once I use one (I just got it). Good luck and have fun with it.:king:

Man i soooo want to buy the new one i had played it at digital life and thought it was pretty cool but one thing about it is that the gameplay looks totally different. To me it's kinda like star ocean O.O but still ^V^ i'll buy it! The only thing is I'm wondering if other people are up for the change o.O?

I like the characters...especially the Judges in FFXII. Their voice actors are awesome. Do a Youtube search on them(tags like Judge Gabranth, Judge Bergan).

I've been playing Final Fantasy since VIII(8), which was my first one of the series. Then I played Final Fantasy 7, which was cool, but I liked 8 better in a way. My most favorite is Final Fantasy X. Sadly, I didn't like the sequel to Final Fantasy X, which was X-2 because to me the battle system was kinda sorry compared to X. Right now I am not interesting in the new FF because you have to pay to play online which sucks. The number 12 one looks alright, but the characters don't look that good enough to grab my attention to buy it and start playing it, like Final Fantasy 7,8, and X did.:rolleyes:

if theres any final fantasy fans out there who still havnt played 12, i suggest you go out right now and buy it, its simply awesome! 7 only beats it due to nostalgia imo :)

just dont feel disappointed that theres no romance in the game, since this installment has a more political edge about it and in essence a little more mature than the previous games.

theres so much i could write how good this game is, id rather you go out and find out yourself :D

So far X has been good I think, but the new 13 Nova crystals ones i think will be awesome. Haven't play 12 yet don't like how vaan looks, so weird.
