I hate to reiterate myself as i posted this on Epsilons page as well.
**also. this is going to be long, but i promise it gets to a point, i'm sorta writing this out for a blog as well.)
But as some of you may know, i recently have been spending a lot of time preparing for an interview, last Friday, and today. I even got my mom to send me $40 for new clothes!
As you may also know i was invited back for a second interview today. But here is what you may not know. This was an all-day affair, i had to get up before 6 a.m. to catch a bus at 7 to get there by 9 a.m. Then i had to go gallivanting all over North Saint Paul and god knows where else, with this 20 year old "assistant/leading manager", and his cotton mouth partner, for NINE EFFING HOURS. In 91 degree weather!!!
And for what you may ask, was i doing outside? Trying to sell paintball coupons, to random business people. I got sunburned, and blisters :( After all that sweating, nausea, and fatigue...i go back to the office for a POSSIBLE 3rd and final interview.
When we get there, all the guys disappear, and i only see one other girl who was there with my that morning (there were 5 people called in including myself). Which was weird cuz everyone was supposed to be back by that exact time.
She was called into an interview, and i never saw or spoke to her after that. Which was especially weird cuz we had been talking the entire time and she was supposed to come back out and tell me what was going on.
Then i was called in, and after yap yap yap, i'm hired! But all i got was a handshake and an ESCORT out of the building (from the eighth floor...? Weird.) So i didn't sign anything saying i was now an employee, and they didn't ask for my social or ID EVER.) Just said, be here tomorrow at 7:20 a.m.
So, yay! Whatever, it was very unusual but i had a job! So i got ready for my trek back home, it was about 7 p.m. when i got on my bus. And got home by 8, elated! My boyfriend came outside to meet me with congrats, and we went out to eat.
Then i got home, and took a bath while reading the notes i took, and the stack of papers they gave me to read. It all looked strange, even the details on paper were extremely vague of my job description and pay. So i looked them up online about 20 minutes ago.
I didn't find their website at #1, but ripoffreports.com links!
So i read all of these, and was SHOCKED! Each persons experience was IDENTICAL to mine, from the weird things we noticed here and there but shrugged off as human error. The tiny office, the fact that NO ONE gave a last name, and the 12 hour interview i had to do.
Sad thing is, they had me sign a paper saying i didn't expect payment just because i was "shadowing" the sales people.
So it goes without saying i will not be going to work tomorrow, i will not have any problems making practices, and i'm still broke as puck.
There's a million other things i want to say about today, but the amount of text would probably be visually overwhelming. So here is a link to some of the reports, its so much like mine its scary, so you'll get a good idea of what just happened to me :(
