View Full Version : 6 yr old boy dies on Ferris Wheel

Sapphire

This happened quite a while ago, back in April, so this is a late review but i didn't see anything discussing it.

A young boy in Siberia, Russia managed to get into a park, operate and get onto the main attraction. The ferris wheel. Bystanders watch, recorded and left as the boy dangled from the ferris the moving ferris wheel after he slipped trying to switch seats. On the video recording they are telling him to hold on, whilst laughing. It eventually became too much for the young boy to hold on any longer and as he screams for his mother he lets go and they watch him plunge 15 meters. All caught on camera.

The video was placed on youtube and i will post it, but i will tell you it is extremely graphic. If it's too much, tell me and i'll remove it or a staff member can.

U just want to get out what kind of lowlife, stands there laughing at a little boy as he struggles to hold on a moving ferris wheel? Yes he was already at a dangerous height, but he had a better chance living from that fall rather than a fall from the top. And if I didn't know how to operate the machine i would call the police or anyone that could possibly help. It just makes me so mad that this death could have been prevented and it wasn't because someone wanted a few views on youtube. And what is wrong with the picture when a 6 year old knows how to operate a ferris wheel? Of all those people watching there was not one decent human being who thought, hey this is dangerous i should stop him.

Merr. I could go on, but i think i've said enough. I just wanted to share and hear your thoughts and opinions. What would you do? Would you be the jerk with your iphone out recording it to get a featured video on youtube, or would you be that caring person who'd step in and try to do something?

Here is the news broadcast.

I wasn't offended by it and those who were should have known by the previous statements that you made that the video would be graphic. For those who were offended how did you not know that it would be a graphic video. After all for those of you who don't know the conversion, 15 Meters is over 45 Feet! That impact is bound to be horrific.

poor kid.... thats just sickening that those guys just laughed and watched.

Did you guys hear about the murder that happen just yesterday night. and whats more shocking is that it happened just 1:30 hours from where I live. It happened on a GreyHound Bus. This guy was just minding his own business and taking a nap and this other guy on the bus just starts stabbing him for no reason. and then everyone else just got off the bus and left him for dead and locked the killer inside with him. But that sick ******* wasn't done yet....what he did next was the really sick part. I'm not even gonna say it, it's right out of a horror movie. If you want to know heres the news link to this case. http://www.ctv.ca/servlet/ArticleNews/story/CTVNews/20080731/Manitoba_bus_080731/20080731?hub=Canada

What is the "Alpha Dog" Story

Basically, a drug dealer in Cali was owed money, and they guy didn't pay, so they sniped back at each other, and eventually it led to the dealer kidnapping the guy's brother. Long story short, they killed his brother. One's on death row, one got life, one nine years, and the dealer himself was just captured not too long ago.

Sapphire

Why do people throw their lives away for drugs? Have you really dug yourself so deep that getting high or wasted is the only form of excitement in your life? How did they manage to snipe each other back and forth without cops intervening and manage to kidnap and kill someone?

Yea, no ****. They went back and forth. Ben, the guy that owed the dealer, Jesse, money, called Jesse's insurance company, and the fraud cost Jesse 30K. Jesse called Ben's job claiming to be his parole officer, and Ben lost his job. Ben and a couple of friends broke his window. Jesse kidnapped his little brother.....

Gotta watch the movie. It is a good one........at least IMO.

Don't know why people throw their lives away for drugs??? I ask my friends the same question......

talking about strange going's on, a couple of months ago by me... a woman was found dead hanging from a tree by two teenage boys.... when investigated further they found that her disabled son who was 22 but had the mental age of 6 year old had also gone missing. later on that week they made two arrests of the father and the other son but were later released... after a long search spanning most of the country following leads they found the disabled sons body in a suitcase buried in the back garden. after a postmorten they found out the boy died of an epileptic fit. it turned out that the mother paniced and hid the boys body in the garden after finding him dead in the family home. a month had past and the lies she was telling were building up and more and more people were asking questions. the father and other son lived else where as they weren't together and they knew nothing of what was going on. eventual it took its toll on the mother and she hung her self in the woods around the corner from me. a very sad and tradgic story and they will both be sadly missed....

I let a lot of things slip in the general discussion on the clan forums. A lot.

...But what do you mean by this? That since it happened in Russia, you "don't care" that a 6 year old kid lost his life? Whether he was influnced to do it or not, I still see it as a huge tragedy, wheter in happened in Norway, the US or in this case, in Russia. At 6 years old, I'd say it was probably his guardians fault not taking better care.
Since things "are so different"? What exactly do you mean?

To tell you the truth I don't care much at all. I mean yeah I feel bad for that kid but it's Russia things over there are VERY different.

I agree Uteena, shouldnt matter where this happened..a 6 year old lost his life and I blame his parents or whoever was suppose to be watching over him. Those kids (teenagers) could have done something rather than video taping to save this little boys life, even if it didnt save the kid at least they could say they tried! Saying things like "I don't care" because it happened in Russia is a huge reason other people in diff countries can't stand Americans. This type of thing could have happened in the US and I dont see how where it took place should matter.

Instead of pointing fingers--at the parents and co.--the circumstance needs to be looked at more closely. Okay, six years old is too young to understand the real danger of an unattended amusement ride, the responsibility of supervision being laid on parents, friends, and involuntary onlookers. Turn the circumstance around and look at the flipside, here comes six years old again; consider how a six-year-old was able to activate and operate a public ferris wheel in broad daylight.

I mean Russia is a very poor country. Families sell themselves as forms of prostitution just to have a home. It's everyone for themselves there. So people won't worry about a 6 year old they are worrying about themselves. Who could blame them?

I agree as well. Human life is human life, though we may speak in different languages and have different cultures, we shouldn't let borders divided us in a manner that we don't care for one another. We are all part of.....the human race. Thats how I feel anyway.

That one was good. The variety of jokes was a little lackluster. They all made the same jokes over and over again. in The William Shatner one, i don't think that the same joke was told twice.

I think the Flavor Flav one was just sad.

that they do.

As for the nuclear reactors being safe all depends if they are working according to plan. They can be safe but also deadly.

Every person who works in Petroleum factorys, Nuclear Plants, have all been exposed to over radiation, so none of them are really safe...

I have a 2 year old son and the fact that people can stand by a watch a boy who wasn't that much older than my son die like that sickens me. I don't know what I'd do if anything happened to my son.
