Microsoft definitely doesn't want to know what Google is up to but they should.

For anyone who uses Gmail (all PMS & H2O members should have an account to look at clan documents), have you ventured to the Documents section lately?

Google has basically created a FREE version of Office. You can create Google Docs (Word), Spreadsheets (Excel) and Presentations (Powerpoint). You can create them blank or from a template (there are hundreds, possibly thousands of templates). You can convert any Google Doc to Office file types and view these documents across any operating system that has internet access.

So, not only can you do all this but you can share rights with anyone that has a Gmail account to edit & Contribute to these docs. OR, you can just give them rights to View the doc.

No, I don't work for Google but it's just another reason why I love Google.

Funny how so many people don't know about this.

I converted all of our operations over into a clan branded version of google....huge feature set with our own logos for free :). Gotta love google.

Google Docs really is awesome. I knew about it a while ago, but I never really used it, and I just got back into it a few months ago because I didn't want to buy Excel. They allow transfer of excel documents into their spreadsheets, which is REALLY cool. I don't like the interface as much, but it's free and it still works just fine, so.. Thumbs up.

Sometimes it's inconvenient working in a browser window, dealing with loading and the interface, but the sheer portability of having information on Google's servers is both scary and convenient.

I personally use Google Notebook for a lot of link saving and note-taking.
