A Co-worker told me a joke the other day and I thought this would be the perfect place to share it...but don't kill me.
Why is PMS called PMS? Because the name Mad Cow Disease was already taken :)

I mean who would call something PMS!!??!!?

when it started it stood for phsychotic men slayers...but now it is somethin else to be more media/ sponsor friendly :rolleyes:

Psychotic Men Slayerz never struck me as the greatest name- especially if you're going to try to use that to explain the initials.
Pandora's Mighty Soldiers is a step in the right direction :)
But yeah, trying to explain "PMS" to non-gamers, especially parents, is very awkward.

yes I understood that, I think they just wanted to stress that it was an all girls clan. With all women having PMS, but w/e. It is a little odd. :rolleyes: They just had a since of humor about the situation i guess

PMS is female related, the girls are not relating to Premenstrual Syndrome
It was a name they made up years ago, when i played with them all the time, the made it up back in Wolfenstien over 5 years ago. (ah ya, those golry days)
The 5 founders thought about it, they wanted something different, something that meant girls can play too, and kick guys butt. phsychotic men slayers
PMS clan grew going in to Counter Strike and Rainbow 6, and on to Halo.
Thats why they changed there name. An you should be proud for the PMS clan making it this far, they have done so well.
I remember PMS and how we use to play...i joined back in Counter Strike and staid for 2 1/2 years on into halo.
So much fun!
I love these girls....the new one and the old ones.

That wasn't an essay and PMS does stand for Premenstrual Syndrome.
No not clan wise but in real life yes.
Premenstrual Syndrome isn't gross, it happens before you start. Hence the pre in the beginning.

i've explained it to my mom, she understands lol. but when i talked to my dad, he made lil cracks, nothing too weird.

People ask me to hang out and I'm like "Uhh I have PMS at 8" and I have to explain what that is it's hilarious.

But yeah when they were trying to make a clan name they weren't trying to think of three words that went together that started with P, M, and S. That was just the first letter of Phychotic Men Slayerz. (Now Pandora's Mighty Soldiers.)
