If you haven't heard of him before, Professor Randy Pausch passed away today from cancer.

He inspired millions with his "last lecture" he presented at Carnagie Mellon University last September. If you have never seen this lecture I highly recommend you take the time to check it out.

Prior to becoming well known for his speech he was known for having developed the ALICE software project.

I just read about that today, and read the Wiki page about him, he truly was an amazing person it seems, and the speech was definitely inspirational. The way he acted when he knew he didn't have much longer to live just amazes me. I'm not sure if I could ever be that happy. But I'm also young and haven't really lived my life yet.

He was one of our professors... I am in the program he created at the ETC at CMU. We got to see the lecture live and everyone wore the tshirts from their year when he was a professor there... He was really amazing...
