View Full Version : Make your Minihome at Cyworld!

Ok, I heard about this while ago, supposedly it's gonna be bigger than Myspace and I can see why. There's a lot of customization, but the big draw is that you actually make your own little home with a little avatar and everything.

And unlike Myspace there is something you have to pay for. You start out with 50 acorns to buy furniture, skins, whatever. After that you need to refill them by paying real money and trust me people do.

Cyworld is HUGE in Japan, Korea, China and Taiwan and now they created an English community.

It's still in Beta, so it has a few kinks and bugs, but I still couldn't get off of it at all today.

I started a club, but you have to make a mini home first.

It sounds interesting... but I'm not sure about the whole paying for acorns thing...

Well you start out with 50 acorns and you get more signing people up, doing their survey, starting clubs, and stuff isn't really expensive. A skin or item could run 5-20 acorns. Pretty much like paying for theme or something on Xbox.

I just tried to refill my acorns and I can't yet. They don't have the payment system up and running yet, it says not till August, so I guess that's soon, hehe.

And yes, I'm including the H20's too!

LoL, I'm helping my little sis out too. It took me maybe an hour to figure everything out and get over the little kinks. Sometimes a button will be there then it won't. But it's so darn addicting, I stuck with it. Plus, It's kinda embarrassing having a bare home. That's why they make so much money selling acorns, you just keep buying furniture.

Huh, this probably will be pretty addictive. Reminds me of IMVU, anyone ever tried that? It's a chat system but you can make cool avatars to use as you.

Okay Click on Shop. At the top of the page it says FUN SHUI Click on that and buy you some stuff for your room! Then you can click on edit mini room and set it all up the way you like it and save it :) good luck!

Wow, that looks pretty cool. I like how you can have your pictures be fairly large unlike on MySpace where it resizes them to a fairly small size, and also I like how you can give gifts. Speaking of pictures, you can have so many on here and have them in categories. Great stuff. I'll have to make one soon. Just imagine what it would be like once more and more people from here join.
