It seems to have just started today. I was trying to play SSBB with my friend and I would randomly get disconnected and get an error. And it made me mad cause I was kickin his butt! Anyone know what's wrong? I've checked my router settings and all and this never happens with my DS and it has never happened before.

Sometimes wireless internet can pulse and disconnect, then reconnect. I'm not exactly sure how to fix it but that can be a common problem. I know it always used to happen with my wireless internet at my old house but it hasn't happened since I moved. Maybe your router just isn't strong enough? I know there's some linksys wireless routers that are recommended because they're cheap and basic but they're comparible to toys

Let me tell you this, where is this router sitting at right now? Does it sit next to your computer? Has anything changed recently in your home like a new house phone, new electronics, or did you move your router recently? I troubleshoot wireless routers for an ISP which I cannot say which, but these are some of the key things to know when working with wifi. You will be amazed what EMI causes, what EMI you say? That's Electromagnetic Interference. Since wifi is radio signals, it can be easily be distorted to prevent your computer or xbox from picking up the signal. It doesn't matter if you see full bars on your screen, doesn't take much to distort the signal.
If you have it 3 feet close to your monitor or computer move it back 6 feet. That includes anything electronic close to it. Don't assume that you will get a better signal if it's closer to the computer because all wireless has at least a 3 foot dead zone. Secondly to better help you maybe tell us what modem you have to begin with. Since you mentioned You have Verizon it only means you have one of three of these modems listed here:
The Westell 327w, 7500 and Actiontec 704wg.
Might be able to find which model it is by looking looking at the bottom of the unit.
Once you have done that we can proceed in boosting the wifi's effectively.
On a side note, online play with SSBB does kick you out of game. That was a known issue, but I am not sure if that's been fixed or what.
