Any GIMP users?

I am having a problem with GIMP and userbars....when I save the userbar as a .gif, it takes out the the shading and the scanlines...any suggestions??

are you doing the layers correctly? i find that the layers in GIMP are confusing sometimes. i usually have my husband do things with layers in GIMP lol You can also do a google search for GIMP information and tutorials. that's usually what i do.

why does it have to be a .gif save it as a .png
