I decided to review the HGN, Halo Graphic Novel. It isn't a rushed attempt at money, but something that parallels the books and games very well.
Essentially, there are four stories. The first involves the Flood boarding a Covenant cruiser (most should know the hero), the second story involves MJOLNIR armor testing, the third involves Sgt Johnson escaping the Flood in the first Halo, and the last story involves the Mombasa invasion from the eyes of a reporter.
So, which story is the best? I think it's the first, named The Last Voyage of the Infinite Succor, which takes up a majority of the book, but with good purpose.
There is a gallery at the end of the book that is, well, jaw-dropping. "Unbelievable" came to mind when I saw some of the pictures.
At the end of the book, you'll be wishing it was longer, which would've been a great thing indeed. However, a monthly comic book is due in '07 for Halo, so there's the solution.
At the end? I can't say anything better. If you didn't want to read all three of those books to understand the Halo story, HGN does a fine job indeed. Huge thumbs up.

I'm sure you all've seen reviews on this and whatnot, but I decided to take an unbiased, unpaid review at it. :D
