hey guyz um my laptop (Inspiron B130) is messing up..
its saying that this file is missing or corrupt
\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM
me and my mom dont know wat to do about it lol so um can sumone please help me with it?

do u still have ur recovery cds and is there anything you need on the laptop

well i dont have recovery cds. and theres sum pics and stuff we need on it.
another thing is that the Windows doesnt start at all. it just goes on this black screen with words sayin that the file is missing or corrupt.

did u have recovery disks at a point and it is part of the hard drive dell sometimes sets aside instead of giving you disks

guh i dont really know what this laptop has. do you know whats wrong with it though? and we think we had recovery disks but we think its lost or something unless we never got one at all.

its comcast business that's the only reason and its cheaper than the regular comcast high speed in my area and this is there low end connection

that was going to be the next statement and maxman that still uses a cd for recovery i have a couple xp cds and if u want one ill send u a iso of it that u can burn or a cd in the mail

well we just found a XP CD but when we put it in, do i press sumthing to boot from it?

yes
at the first screen after it finishes loading press R to enter the recovery console
At the recovery console type chkdsk /p and hit enter.
after thats done check to see if it works
