I think the majority of people on here use PS. I'm not sure of any other program that is as good as PS.

I've heard good things about Gimp.
Google it if you want more info, cuz that's all I know.

PS would be the easiest to learn, since every major sig maker here uses it, and could answer your questions.
EDIT: And ps2 :p

my friend has gimp.
he says it sucks compared to photoshop.
and PS is free...well technically no but ;)

Well my friend has gimp as well and he says he's yet to find something you can do in photoshop that can't be done with gimp. But regardless, gimp is free, and PS is only free if you are into piracy.

doh.....how much is PS??? also is it hard to make sigs?? cause some of these sigs i see is like...WOW....they must have been making sigs a looong time. Anywho thanks for your help!!!

PS is like 500$ but im pretty sure almost no one here has a "legal" copy

The price depends on whether you are a student or not. It's about $700 normally, but there are some ways to get student discounts. Still, we're talking big bucks.

I have a legal copy... and ive been makin sigs for about 3 months or so. With the student discount, it's like $200 something.

Yeah, I thought it was about 2 to 3 hundred but myself not being an expert, I didn't want to guess.

Im nowhere near an expert, but truth be told, I got an upgrade version (from PS 6.0) not the entire version, which is more expensive.

I use Photoshop CS 2, its very very pricey yet good program
