I had a discussion with a co-worker who said he thought some clan called "The Pink Ladies" was the largest girl gaming clan and I honestly have no clue as to what he was talking about. I was under the impression PMS was the largest girl gaming clan but didn't want to get into a debate about anything until I had my facts straight. Does anyone know, for fact, what the largest girl gaming clan is? Could anyone possibly list some of the other large clans, whether it be for girls, guys, or both? I'm very curious now and wanted to see if anyone knew. :) Thanks!

we are most certainly the largest female competitive clan, i have no clue who the pink ladies is but we would have certainly heard of them before lol I did a search too and nothing on the top page about their clan and if they had the members they certainly would have the hits lol

Maybe it's a non-competitive clan? Some people might call ie. GamerchiX a clan, but even so it's not a competitive clan, like PMS.
Never heard of The Pink Ladies myself :/

Yes GamerChix is most certainly the largest community for women, it's not a clan though by any means =P. It's an awesome group to be part of just to support female gaming though!!

Isn't Gamerchix a bit backwards though, its fine encouraging more women to play, but if they only encourage them to play with/against other women then its kind of missing the point, the problem isn't that most women don't want to play, its that the idea of women gamers is almost seen as a strange and foreign concept but some
Also never heard of The Pink Ladies, sounds more like a drink or a gay club then clan though

I know for myself, having more girls with me who know how it's like being harassed for being a female helps when gaming online. It's hard taking all the crap by yourself. So I don't see a problem encouraging girls to play together against guys, or even against each other.

Sorry way off-topic but I need to add
Its the Harassment, that really needs to be looked at, everyone regardless of race, creed or gender should be able to play games without the fear of abuse
Video games are an art and art is for everyone
Edit: The Pink Ladies according to wiki http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pink_Ladies

now that is about as ridiculous as it comes... I just spoke to you about your outlandish and ridiculous comments. I just read through your previous posts and they almost all amount to the same.
Consider yourself officially warned.

I'm fairly certain that "Pink Ladies" is also the unofficial nickname for hospital volunteeers (a-la candystripers) (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hospital_volunteers) in Australia.

I don't think that's the point of GamerchiX at all. It's more of just a way to actually meet other females who happen to play videogames. A lot of members say they never knew so many other women even played. The group isn't there to encourage it's members to play with solely females but to actually have the chance to meet other females to play with. ;)
And also it's not a clan in way. Just a community for gamers (who happen to be female). :mvdj:

I remember a small clan that sounds familiar. It might have been the Pink Maidens or something. But it's long gone. But from what I know it had about 50 members until it collapsed. The site was deleted and forums are gone too.

has anyone thought that maybe his co-worker didn't know wtf he was talking about and maybe he was just trying to sound smart by making up a name and talking about it? It's not unheard of for people to pull things out of their ass
