View Full Version : Xbox 360 Red Ring of Death Repair gods - iRepair Squad
I know that I'm not the only person that has had my Xbox 360 shut down, so I thought I would share some knowledge with anyone else out there that may need some advice on what to do. This place that I found online is awesome! I have been recommending them to all of my friends and they love them too. My sister just bought an Xbox 360 Guitar Hero 3 Bundle from them for less than $270.
I've had my Xbox 360 get the Red Ring of Death two times. The first time, I sent it in to Microsoft and it took 3 months to finally get my Xbox 360 back. Then the Red Ring of Death happened again only like a month later!
So I found this other company online that does repairs on Xbox 360s called iRepair Squad (http://www.irepairsquad.com). They claim to be able to make the Xbox 360 better than new and guarantee the Red Ring of Death won't happen again after they fix it. They only charged me like $90 and I had my Xbox back within a week fully working again. They put in an additional cooling fan too so it won't overheat again! Anyway, here's the website: www.irepairsquad.com (http://www.irepairsquad.com)

So I'm assuming that you work for this company? You only have 3 posts and all of them are about this site. >.<

i heard cooling fans weren't good for it ?
PMS BumbleBee,
Actually, external cooling fans are not good for your game consoles because they block vents that help circulate the airflow. Internal cooling fans actually help to keep the unit cooler and force the airflow through the two main vents of the Xbox 360. The fan they installed for me also had cool blue LED lights, which created a nice mod. effect. Regarding some previous posts, I'm not employed by Microsoft or iRepair Squad, I've just seen that a lot of people on this forum have experienced similar problems that I have had in the past and wanted to help other people out with my experiences.

The guy is just advertising. If you pay for someone to fix your 360, it should be Microsoft, or another clan//community member.
Voteban? Indeed.

All these companies(3rd party) that claim they can fix your 360's RRoD are rubbish.. It'll break down again soon after anyways. Unless they devise a way to keep the 360's motherboard from wharping from all the heat, and do complete solder reballing on integral chips, and keep the memory chips cool. But nevertheless, its not worth voiding your "WARRANTY" to Microsoft. Plus, I have never had to wait 3 months to get my brand new replacement 360 back.
Fact is, the Xenon, Zephyr and Falcon motherboard revisions are all crap and bound to give out some day. The problem is really the insufficient heatsinks and the 95-nm graphics cpu process getting too hot.
Hopefully all RRoD problems will be null once microsoft rolls out the "Jasper" revision of the 360.

hopefully. I already got 12 1 month free cards from all the times I had to send it in.
And Raiden, don't you think banning is a little extreme.

1st 360 = 3 Red Lights
2nd 360 = 1 Red Light - E-74 Error!
3rd 360 = NEED TO BUY ONE!
