Still having problems connecting to friends on XBL

so me and my friend have open NATS which i thought is what you needed but we still cant connect is it my router cuz we both have the same routers. Linksys WRT54G and i was thinking maybe i need to get a different one.

I think I have that one too, but I'm too lazy to go and check lol. The only thing I can tell you though, is try to reset your router. That fixed most of my issues. So unplug, wait 30 seconds, plug back in.

The most annoying thing would be to call Linksys, but it's a shot too if resetting doesn't work. Just make sure your firmware is updated.

Again if all else fails contact, Linksys and/or go to the Xbox Live site for help. Or there's always the D-Link..

If you ever need to restore factory default settings, you may reset your router through small / tiny button as available on the backside of the router. Please see the above referred Figure.

ive tried all that stuff and nothing seems to be working it maybe on his end idk. Thanks for the help though.

Are you on the same provider, and in the same neighborhood? It's possible that it could be an issue if you are on the same DSLAM or PON card, depending on what type of service you have.

the same router really dosent matter, its probobly your provider or his

so what can i do using my provider we both have a company called embarq that provides us our internet
