Caught me by surprise atleast, and the game itself seems pretty cool - been watching a buddy of mine busting out insane combos for a lil' while now.

It's insane, but I think it's also difficult. I keep dying cause I jump right in the middle of all the enemies, maybe I should play it more to get better heheh.

I thought the graphics were very "current gen", not that its a bad thing though. The mind boggling amount of enemies more than make up for it. Also, ive noticed some really bad clipping, especially with the "La - Land Slide" and with the death animations, and as for the dubbing... wow, I thought it was really annoying. I hope they have an original Japanese track w/ subtitles. Im not really trying to nit-pick though, as I found this game really fun, and wish I had the money to get it when it comes out.

Also, whats the highest combo anyone has gotten yet? My highest was about 3000 some odd hits.

i think the graphics are a lil better than the what's been out, except for stuff like chrome hounds.
but after playing it i love it, the massive amount of guys near the end is incredible.
maybe when the real game comes out there will be a japanese voice option. hopefully.

i had i think like 2,000 combo. not much lol.

yeh i played it last night. It seemed like wenver it had to load something, it froze a lil bit. Also wen the big battle scenes came into play, it slowed just a lil bit.

I always wanted this game cuz dynasty warriors was a let down. But now that they had the demo out, i want this game even more! I definetely recommend this game if u like slash and hash games. :D

the graphics aren't next gen, the number of guys on the screen however.....def is. You're talking eaisly 500-1000 guys on the screen in the larger battles, something the older consoles could never handle.
Im lovin the demo.

I finally beat the damn thing, 5437 kills I think was my total, max combo was that huge cause I was going for efficiency rather than spectacle. That and the bigger combos leave you open for hits, and the only reason I survived was cause I leveled up right when I was one hit from death and surrounded by enemies, which refills your health.

The orb move with the Y button kills a lot of things, I dove into like 1000 enemie with it and cleaned house, then when the next battalion of enemies came I used the Orb spark thing (when the blue meter is full). That rules, the Troll was easy to take down cause all his Goblin buddies were downed :D

I thought this demo was pretty easy, I finished it on my fist try... but yeah, I used the x,x,x,x+y,x combo a ton and got a 3000 some odd hit combo easily.

Also, has anyone gotten the clover yet? Ive seen it once, but havent been able to get it again.

I got the clover recently. It just adds 20% drop rate. I think that is what makes the game so nifty, the plethora of items you can get...i just don't like how items can disappear after a while.

lol yeah... i've had the health dealies (the red pot thingies) dissapear when I was like a foot infront of them a whole bunch, and it sux... Also, does anybody know what the Angel Wing's do? They dont make you fly, thats for sure. I spent like an hour trying to fly just by jumping when I got them... It didnt work.

I've been looking forward to this game for a LONG time.. Never played any dynasty warrior games.. and didnt particularly like Kingdom Under Fire.. but this game is awesome.

I've done the demo run-through 3 times now and loved it each time. The plot looks phenomnial.. it mimics real life situations by exploiting the influence perspective has on controversal situations. It manipulates the players emotions by setting them up to be sympathetic to each characters struggle, which will no doubt be at odds with each other, therein creating an emotional paradox within the player (similar to Shadow of the Colosus and what not).

Cant wait till mid Aug when its out :-D

And I've gotta say, the CG is top notch (with the exception of the voice over, but i'm assuming the character's mouths are animated to be japanese natively). Still incredible game in terms of gameplay, hours of fun indeed. Between that and the table tennis demo I downloaded, i'm addicted!

The voice acting in English for this game isn't so good. It kinda makes me want to buy a Japanese Xbox 360. It was done much better in Japanese. At least in Japan, voice actors train for years in school to become good. Over here, it seems as if they just pick random people off the street... There are a few good ones, but they are limited.

I cringed when I heard: "Oh no. Landslide!" Play it and you'll know what I mean.

I agree.. its why I'm currently teaching myself Japanese :)

I think part of the problem is also that they try to throw too much emotion into the dialoge when they really have no idea what the plot or who the character they're voicing is. I believe they also try to structure phrases so as the words somewhat match mouth movements. I'd rather have voiceover that rocks and makes sense but isnt in sync with the lips than the other way around. Ah well. I also like the cultural differences you find with direct translations.. but that would probably confuse people who have no understanding of asian culture (ie nosebleeds).

The names are also pretty horrible. Fort Wyendeek (i know i got that wrong but eh).. and that other places name (I think it was Vanzabar or something like that).. all quite horrible if you ask me... but easily overlooked in the grand scheme of things.

I set up a Japanese GT (http://www.gamersreports.com/article/19) the other day so I could download the Zegapain demo available only to Japanese public. Game kinda sucked IMO.. but was testament to how good japanese voiceovers are.

RiP, that TT demo made me buy the game.. its HARD man.. destroys my thumbs.. but looks to be lots of fun once mastered. I got pwned online :(

I guess I really didn't have a problem with the fort names, or the names of the characters. They seemed like your pretty typical/standard fantasy-type names. It's just the voice overs that kinda ruin it for me. At least the gameplay makes up for it.

La-Landslide!

Haha, yes the landslide thing made me cringe as well. I must say though, its a lot of fun. And as for table tennis, i can see how its hard online, but the computer is easy at least hehe. I've yet to loose a single game (and thus match of course) to the comp in the demo, so maybe i'm just that good muhaha.

Damn.. I must suck then. I'm trying to do the rookie (i thin thats what it is.. its the second step up from where you first start) tournament with Jeurgen (or however you spell it) and Jesper tears me apart.

I want to unlock Kumi then I'll be happy.
