Hey PMS gals and H2O guys!
I thought everyone would like to know about a great band that has been getting very little attention, but should get a whole lot more IMO.
The band is named Miss Amelia's Whiskey, after the main character in the story The Ballad of the Sad Cafe by Carson McCuller. I heard about this band back in 2004 and have been listening to them ever since. They only have one CD but that CD is a great one. I really think that everyone should hear this band. It is a local band from Boise, ID where I am originally from, and the lead singer is my old HS English teacher.
If you want to hear small samples of their stuff, go HERE (http://cdbaby.com/cd/missamelias) and click on the Play All Songs button. If you like what you hear you can buy the album on iTunes for $9.90USD instead of the $14.98USD at CD Baby.
I also started a MySpace group for fans of the band. It is free membership, I don't know what the band has cooking if anything, but I hope they are hard at work on their new stuff.
Let me know what you guys think, whether you just demo the songs or buy the full album and what you think of what you hear.
Can't wait to hear your feedback. I plan on visiting my teacher during my next term of leave, and want to tell him that people I know like his stuff.
Thanks
