Some of the anime i watch is hold on let me think hmm oh i know Big O, Evangelion, Ghost in the Shell, Gungrave, Inu-Yahsha, Yu Yu Hakusho, Witch Hunter Robin, and lets not forget one of my all time favorites Rurouni Kenshin and Samurai x two of the best anime out there.

I've been watching Maria + Holic lately, and I've kept up with the episode releases. It seems promising. However, I've never heard of Asu no Yoichi. I'll check it out now.

Another anime I've been watching is The Tower of Druaga: the Aegis of Uruk.

Plot summary found in AnimeNetwork:
The Summer of "Anu": In a summer once every five years, demons in the mysterious Tower of Druaga lose their powers due to the magic spell cast by a god named "Anu". King Gilgamesh, ruler of the kingdom Uruk, uses the appearance of demons as an excuse to invade the tower and find out the construct's secrets. As 80 years passed, the Uruk army managed to fight back the demons and built a fortress city and safe haven on the very first floor of Druaga - Metz Kier. Thus begins the story of a warrior named Jil who, finding companions along the way, embarks on a quest for the fabled Blue Crystal Rod, a powerful artifact rumored to be in the highest floor of Druaga. However, other competitors, including the kingdom of Uruk itself, want the treasure, all for their own reasons.



But truth be told, I think Gantz is one of the best animes <3

That Druaga no Tou: the Aegis of Uruk looks pretty good. I'll have to start watching that, gotta start on season 1 first though.
I also just started watching kurokami, kuroshitsuji, and Sora o Kakeru Shoujo.

I usually don't watch bleach, but when I do I watch japanese subs or raws depending on laziness, and now that I'm up to like 195 eps watched I gotta at least finish it when it finally finishes airing

if you haven't seen deathnote. omg, it's flippin fantastic. i've watched it in english, japanese with english subtitles, and i just finished reading the manga. i can't get enough of it. my entire living room is decorated in anime wall scrolls, anime plush dolls, and odd asian knicknacs including a hand-made, hand-painted japanese fan. aslo, on a sadder note, my aunt died a couple of weeks ago, and she left me a GORGEOUS japanese teapot that i'm in love with. it makes me sad, but at the same time, i'm glad that i have something so beautiful to remember her by. The thing is, i had noticed it a few months before when i was visiting, and i told her how much i adored it. so for her to leave it to me... its a really emotional piece of my collection.

i agree with you, to some degree. b/c i really wanted to see kira's "perfect world", but at the same time i loved the " i told you so" ryuk scene as ryuk wrote light's name down in his deathnote book as he had previously predicted. it was really bittersweet, you know? if you haven't read the manga READ IT. there's so much more in the manga, and i couldn't put it down.

ahhh! i've been reading the same thing! i always knew that naruto was the 4th hokage's son, though. i can't believe it took them so long to reveal it, though.

The Naruto Mangas have been great recently! Wasn't expecting Hinata to do that, really suprised me.

I've just finished watching Ouran High School Host Club. Great Anime i recommend it to everyone. I find it a shame when a good Anime comes to an end.
I'm also watching Jigoku Shoujo, only on season 2 at the moment but it's been good so far. :D

the most recent animes I have finished watching are Negima 1, I just finished downloading the 2nd but havent watched yet,( I look forward to it). I have watched Clannad and the Afterstory. Its incredibly epic.

Im currently going on and off trying to figure out which to watch next, Im up to Episode 6 on Initial D First Stage. Episode 17 Lucky Star, Episode 7 on 2x2=Shinobuden, and i plan on watching FLCL again because I didnt understand it the first time around and apparently to everyone that reviews it its really epic. I have many others that I'll keep you posted on but It would take forever to post all the ones I downloaded and am currently downloading.

Im really into random anime but I still dont mind serious stuff.

My all time favorite anime is a Tie between Shakugan no Shana both first and second seasons, and Negima, hopefully I can say that the second season of Negima will be epic.

FLCL is the shortened name for the anime Fooly Cooly, which in my opinion, is the best anime ever made. It's the only anime I've seen that works on such deep levels, and incorporate heavy themes.

I personally was never a big fan of FLCL, it's a coming of age anime which handles it's themes rather strangely. But I mean, the clumsy feeling is intentional, but at the same time I couldn't latch onto it because of that. A lot of the things are cheaply exaggerated and overdone, the message at times can be easily lost in the absurdity of it all. There is better stuff out there which is more grounded, but if you want something off the wall then FLCL is the way to go.

I'm a huge Death Note fan, and I also really enjoyed Elfen Lied. When They Cry was ok as well, but too upbeat and kiddy in a lot of ways, despite the blood and gore. :p I also watched the entire Ergo Proxy series, and simply adored the first couple episodes (the art style and mod is incredible), but other than tat, it got pretty lame.

Anyone have any good recommendations?

Berserk is good. I just watched that back in march of last year, (came out though back in the 90's) and the graphics were still good in my eye. and the plot was superb. the only thing I didn't like about it is that the anime never continued and only the manga tells the rest of the story....and it's still ongoing!

D: WAHHHH, you guys let this amazing thread die since I've been gone. Well, time for a rebuff.
News on anime. There is a new Blood series called Blood-C (I imagine it's called C because the animation is done by Clamp, same guys that did Code geass and other amazing shows.)
To be honest it starts off a little slow, and hasn't really explained the plot in full, yet. But I'm hopeful. Blood + was epic. and though this is an alternate version to that series I still have my expectations very high. heres a brief look at the series. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yhv8c2LBuew Animation is spot on in my opinion, and Saya is looking very very, smexy, hehe.
Another anime which has just started recently is Usagi Drop. This is an anime more meant for a mature audience. NO, it's not what your thinking, it's not a hentai or ecchi. I'm just gonna let AniDB handle the low down on this one. "Going home for his grandfather's funeral, thirty-year-old bachelor Daikichi is floored to discover that the old man had an illegitimate child with a younger lover! The rest of his family is equally shocked and embarrassed by this surprise development, and not one of them wants anything to do with the silent little girl, Rin. In a fit of angry spontaneity, Daikichi decides to take her in himself! But will living with this overgrown teenager of man help Rin come out of her shell? Lazy, lol. most dubs however suck in english. not all, but most. Code Geass should be watched in Jap. The voice actress of Kallen, and Nunnally sucked in English. No, I am not going to sugar coat it, Nunnally sounded like a TOTAL **** in English, almost blew my ears off in the final Ep of R2. Good dubs, well Cowboy Bebop was AWESOME in english, Death Note was good, except for the final laugh of Kira, that should have been left in jap, (but thats my opinion), Trigun, Blue Gender, Black lagoon is good in both eng and jap, annnnd thats about all, OH and Dragon Ball Z is better in english, the jap voices are HORRIBLE in DBZ.
But really man, WATCH code geass, death note, and cowboy bebop, you will NOT be disappointed.

The only anime i remember that absolutely sucked in the English Dub was Naruto. Seriously..Gaara was the only character who had a decent voice actor, and some of the best scenes were cut.

But honestly, even if i can bare the English Dubs. Japanese with English subtitles all the way.

Been watching Axis Powers Hetalia shamefully religiously recently. If a seemingly random Anime with Countries personified and stereotyped is your bag then i would suggest watching it, those who do watch it will guess who my avatar is.

Also forgot i had some Ghibli movies i still need to watch again, i consider it criminal that i haven't watched them in their original Japanese with subs format.
