Today my 3RD XBOX360 went defective (DVD DRIVE CLICKS). The obvious answer is to get it repaired, but silly me.... Thinking that the 3rd one is a charm - I could open it up and customize it. My first two 360's were defective in the first week of arrival. As for this one, it lasted a well 7 months.
The worst part is, with classes coming around the corner and less work time, I don't think I can pay off another XBOX anytime soon. Also, many of you know, I do film editing and other stuff for clients with my video camera (which luckily went defective this last month) :-\
Its been fun, I guess I can play some arcade games, but thats it since the DVD Drive is effed up. To everyone, you may watch my gamerscore go up by the 200's!

Wish it was that easy, but there are alot of different versions of DVD Drives for the XBOX360. I, myself, had a Hitachi LG (HLG 47DJ). So I would need a HLG 47DJ for correct performance. Even then, its still kind of iffy.

Oryan, call M$! Doesn't matter that you modded it they will still fix it. Two of my friends have the exact same problem and they are out of warranty. M$ told them $130 to fix it I beleive and they FunnyBunnyFunnyBunnyFunnyBunnyFunnyBunnyFunnyBunny ed and the M$ superviser offered to cut the repair cost to $65. Call them and FunnyBunnyFunnyBunnyFunnyBunnyFunnyBunnyFunnyBunny and see it you can get the same price, also dont mention that you modded it unless they ask. This is M$ afterall, they want your cash!

I'm going to install the new modded firmware onto the drive, if that doesn't work I'll put the original firmware back on... I'll call MS then tell them I bought the xbox recenetly and get me a new refurbished one aswell with some milked out goodies like last time *Cough* Free MP Points and Free Game *Cough*

that sucks my 360 just freezes up sometimes on doa 4 thats prooly one game that when u hit the dashboard it goes all freezin up style
I've had a freeze or two on PGR3, but for the most part its been great. I think i mentioned it in a message to you, but just make sure you have it on a UPS next time just in case there are some power line issues, doubt it'd cause a DVD drive to fail, but you never know.
