HAHA so we were playin a clan match right everything was goin good then all of a sudden H2O Parap Rappa and lil baby shoot started sayin "Ahhhh OMG my house is shakin ahhh!!!111!!!1!1". They were a little freaked out but the funny thing is THEY SAT THERE and just kept on playin LOL. Now if you can just sit there and finish your match in CoD4 while an earthquake is happenin....thats what a true hardcore gamer is made of LOL

You know, for some reason I'm not really shocked that.

Thats what I would do, and cry if the internet went out.

I got back on when I calmed down and my members were like "Dude are u ok wth just happened?!" Then one said "u were moving and u just stopped in the middle of the feild and stood there for 3 mins and no one killed u". Very bad pain to feel trust me their no joke...

Yeah after sitting in a meeting until the wee hours of the morning I finally got to bed and had just went to sleep good and then the house started to shake. Again around 10:30am we had another small one shake the house. It was crazy though i had just got to sleep good and then got woke up with my house shaking....lol.

I live close to Marion Illinois.

Honestly, as long as my life isn't seriously in danger, I would keep playing no matter what natural disaster was going on outside my house.

Yeah i agree... I remember when i was in my room playing the xbox and i got something to drink and come back and run and jump onto my bed i sorta well missed the bed and well slept for a while.... was nice >.> not that it has anything to do with a earthquake.. but i remember when i got up stuff was droped all over my room like one.

Haha, oh man that reminds me of two situations when I was playing Ghost Recon I think and I could smell smoke in the house. I told Largo, and I just kept playing..and he's like, "Maybe you should check that"

I eventually did and I guess someone left something on the stove and the kitchen almost caught on fire..

I live in Florida, so of course we occasionally have bad hurricanes...(although, cross my fingers, things have been good so far).

Well, during one hurricane it was so bad (trees breaking, the sound of distant power lines going down, cats and dogs flying around), we were close to being evacuated and I was just hoping the electricity didn't go out so I could keep playing.

Again, I think I was playing with Largo and I'm like, "Dude, I think they're evacuating us, may have to stop playing"

A little off topic, but this thread reminded me of something that happened recently. On top of everything going on in El Dorado, the whole polygamy sect thing, our little town, less than an hour away from El Dorado, gets hit by a tornado.

At the time that the tornado hit, I was working at the nightclub along with my boyfriend. We had to warn the crowd that there was a tornado that had touched ground, etc.

The people on the dance floor, no lie, simply were like, "Aaah, screw it. Give me another shot."

The tornado hit less than a mile away too. That's the scary and funny part.

I remember one time it was late at night and Im playin games with the team i was apart of at the time
"13 Red Dragons" Its like 1am and all of a sudden I hear something on the outside of the house against the door like a bang like someone had hit the door, so Im in my room, like "dang I think someone is breaking into my house" Of course my guys are all into the game and ignore me"hey theres someone over here!!" I hear a few more noises so Im all paranoid someones breaking into the house cause i keep hearing these noises. So Im trying to play this dang game and make sure nobodies gonna come barging into my room with a chainsaw.

Then it happend......BLAM!! Right outside my room window, RAAAAWWRRR MEEEWAAOWW RAAWWWRR. Was some dag jim neighborhood cats fighting. That scared the crap outta me.

You know... My bf and I were driving home from school one time (i'd like to say around 7-8PMish) we were stuck in traffic.. all of a sudden... I get a call from my mom screaming,"DID YOU FEEL THAT?" With a confused look on my face I responded,"uhhh.. o_o no..." Then she said,"WHAT? WHERE ARE YOU!?"

Apparently EVERYONE but me and my bf felt the earthquake.. o_o;

I live right next to salem, illinois where it happened i woke up and thought wtf was it my house shaking!

They said that was where it started. My house was shaking and I thought someone was shakin my bed. So I got up and yelled "Ok! STOP!" then my dad came in and told me it was an earthquake. lol I had never experienced one before. It was a 4.2 I think but it seemed like nothin.

may[/B] have to stop playing"

That is why you use a battery back up as your power source so if it does go out you can squezze in some extra gaming.

Yah i remember that crazy lady, i was worried about you. You remember the time i made you get of Xbox live to do your school work (or go to bed cant remember) oh man i was so mad at you. But nooooooo you were so hoped up on the new Halo 2 match macking scoreing system. haha good times Moogoo <3

But on topic......I use to live and take care of a guy who was old an din a wheel chair.Well at night i needed to go to him whenever he called me. So i was in a clan match on Gears of war. and i downed someone really far away with my lancer, and started to go over to him. He called me, and i was like DAMN!!! so i walked out of my room down a halways and in his room, and apperently i walked around stuff good enough in teh game while not looking to be able to chainsaw the guy just as he was standing up. haha and we won the round. ^_^

The one on friday was 5.2 and we had another tremble last night around 12:30am. It's weird here because you can actually see it start at one end of the house and watch the wave got to the other end shaking things the entire time.

Here's an article from the local newspaper about it http://www.dailyregister.com/articles/2008/04/19/news/news2.txt
