Street Fighter II' Hyper Fighting!

Will anyone else be picking up SFII' next wednesday? I think we should get a few people together who can play that together or whatever. Not a division per se, because it is an individuals game... but fight club, if you will. So who is getting it!

Pass here - I supect this game is not going to live up to the hype/nostalgia value people have placed on it. Of course this was not my favorite game in the arcade either so I could be biased.

I'll be getting it for sure. Been waiting quite a while for it. I don't think it's too expensive at all, especially with the online features.

when u do get it, be prepared for non-user friendly controls, its hard to get used to at first but u will get used to it.

i bought it and i beat the sumo wrestler once while i was a sumo wrestler. that is the best i've done.

The most major annoyance with this game, atleast for me, comes from the horrible D-pad that's been on every single Xbox controller since it's initial launch. It feels more like a D-pad mounted on an analoge stick, rather than a pure digital pad.
I know that, for most games, it's not being used for anything besides performing minor action, but the D-pad doesn't work all that well in several games where the regular analoge won't cut it.

Oh, and this game is hard as nails, I'm getting served bigtime even at the easiest difficulty. Oh well, seeing how it's been twelve years since I last played it, that's hopefully the reason ;)

Dang this game is hard... But not having played this game since I was like 6 doesnt help much either.

EDIT: Wow... I am actually starting to regret my 800 M$ pts. I dont remember this game being so hard... And I thought Alpha from DoA 4 was hard...

I download it is good.I guess some people may not like it cause their young and don't remember or just started playin video games after it came out.I like it cause I had it on Genesis and I used to run to the laundry mat to play it.So much great memorys. Can't wait till Utimate MK 3 comes out.

- Non-User Friendly Controls, D-Pad is a pain
- Arcade mode is Hard, CP is extremely tough
- 2 Modes online, traditional 1 vs 1 and Quater Mode which enables 4 players to be on a server and 2 fighting each other while the others wait in line and watch.
- Some bugs
- Overall tis fun and its old-school

I found something online for every1 having problems with the 360 D pad.I don't recommend nobody messing wit ur system or any controlles or anything.But Ill goning to post this for people who may want to do this.Remember I will not be responsible for ur controller breaking.OK.

Its easier just to build your own arcade controller. Infact - I will be building my own MAME machine soon. Can't wait!!!!

If the game is harder than you remember it being.. you'd be correct. This game is based off the Arcade version, which was much harder than the version released to consoles back in the day.

I am liking it so far. I have seen a few connection issues, but I haven't experienced any lag yet. I have been playing the game using the analog stick rather than the D-Pad. It would probably be even better with the DOA4 arcade stick.
