Otakon 2008 Decision...

I'm just curious if anyone is going or plan on joining this year. I'm stuck in a dilemma because I worked as Staff member for Otakon Security and Dealers table. Last year was suppose to been my last year, but at the end of the 07 event the girl who was in charge of the dealersroom offered me the position to take over for her and host 08 this year. I told her I wouldn't have the time and don't think I could on my busy schedule so now i'm debating if I should go back this year and work under her because she is now doing this one more year as well. So i don't know if i should really tell her I now want consider the position because it'll be great experience to host a huge Anime Convention that hits MD every year..... So I need some opinions because I'm thinking of attending this event as my last year and just continue with my regular life... I think I'll have an answer when I get back from my vacation trip to Orlando, Florida in July..

If anyone wanted details about the event or anyone attending let me know.... the website is http://www.otakon.com/default2.asp. The Event will be August 8 - 10th 2008... So I hope not to be penalized for advertising this event. I

Okay, I'll still be deciding... But, if I do go it be great to meet a H20 member.....Just stay in touch until the time come..... or send me a FR.... I think I will pick up the staff for this year and go one more time. This will be my 5th or 6th year... But, I don't feel like doign any customes.... The last one I did was Slade from Teen Titan... Lets just say I was a "Favorite" to the women... Spandex not my thing.... V<.<;;; Maybe, I'll just bring my grim reaper outfit....

Yeah, I did that my first year and I added Black Wings on him and the people seem to go crazy for him... I didn't think Death was so popular..... Lol.... So i'm sure this year I'll get attacked again.... The weirdest thing was when 4 - 5 guys ran up on me and jumped up and down saying "We love Death... We love death!!!"..... Then I did a bit cosplay with my sytche a guy dressed up as Conan from Case Closed wanted to challenge me... So had random ppl watch chanting for me to win.... and then random guy saying "Kick his *** DEATH!" ..... Was funny but I had a good time..... But, this was when I was security for the con... now I'll be confined to a table V<.<;;;

me and a friend are probably gonna road trip up to it. It'll be my first Otakon and he's trying to get set up to work staff all weekend since it'll be about his 4th. Along with that we're trying to get some Orioles tix for while we're out there. It'd be cool to know someone with experience around the con to show me around if you go, though.

Yea, I think I will attend for my final year. So if need be I'll show u around. If its not to late ask him to be set up at the dealer's table... Its alot better plus if its the same girl u'll get breaks and stuff... She might yell a little but she's cool.... I can point out some things as well...... Just stay in touch...
