Have you guys heard about the 4 U.N. peace keepers being killed by isreal?
one of them was a canadian as the news people have told. Man, If you ask me isreal is being a j.a. they should atlest try to do this peacefuly but no they have to kill like theres no tomorrow, and now they look like the royal J.A. of the world. but remember, its not the citazens of isreal or lebanon, its the govorments.

The stuff has been going on for ages in that area. The U.N. has been trying for years to get them to settle things peacefully. The problem is neither side want to compromise.

yes it has gone on for a whaile now. and so many have been kill, for no reason, senseless slutter like this should be stoped. and it could, if they won't stop then all the UN would have to do is say"If you don't stop within the next 24 hours we are going to smack you down. then they would have to because their weps are not as advanced as ours. alvo that would make em look like an agery mob but it may work. i don't think any of us want this war to continue.

Actually it's not as easy as that. The U.N. follows procedures, and stay out unless it becomes a world/humanitarian issue (if they start trying to conquer other countries, enslaving people, commiting genocide, or other crimes against humanity).

Ah...... thats wird the last time i cheaked people were being killed and they are inocente is that not like inhuman as you said?????? man these two contrys are acting like kids with toys. one says I WANT THAT ONE !!! WA!!! and cryss, as the toy is the soldier that was captured and the other baby does not want ot give his toy away. thats how i have to say its going

I never said inhuman, but think Hitler and World War 2. That's the kind of thing the U.N. gets involved with.

No country want to risk retaliation and their people's lives because they sent soldiers over. That's how they are. You send soldiers into the middle east and next thing you know suicide bombers are knocking at your country's door and killing innocent people because they think you're part of the problem. Governments have a responsibility to their own people to keep them safe which comes before the rest of the world. The U.N. won't go in there until it gets really bad or one of the countries asks the U.N. for help.

The U.S. has been trying to help for years now, but neither parties can/want to come to an agreement. Not to mention the constant attacks from suicide bombers and civilian militants doesn't help. It's kind of hard to make peace with a country when people that country keep attacking yours.

It takes a long time before the U.N. does anything anyways. They are extremely bureaucratic.

Israel asked U.N. for help, and a few hours later they bomb the U.N. observers for several hours. Talk about messing up. It's the civilians that get hurt, not the soldiers. The newspapers print pics of the bleeding people every day, lieing in the hospital. I feel bad for the people that have to live like this, in war. I'm really thankful for being born in a peaceful country like Norway.

My boyfriend was in a U.N. peace conserving force down in Lebanon about 11-12 years ago. He's having a hard time watching all the bombing and stuff, thinking about the year he spent there, and he's glad this didn't happen then.

More canadians have been killed in afgan again and lastest one was killed by friendly fire. and the war still continues in the mid east between isreal and lebanon. As expected now isreal is one of the hated in the world, and they say since the us is teamed up with them or agrees with them. and they say that now torrorist could attacks could occor more often. and in iraq they are starting to get more and more disapointed in the us and canada for not calling for a cese fire. man, even if canada could not make them stop they should at least try then they could say we tryed. but im thinking that mr haper is a total LAP dog to mr bush. what canada is doing i must say is not the canadian way, or should i say the peacefuly as we are sopposed to be. as i said before now that all of our forces are in afgan, our troops are being killed one by one, and we have no def and we are not the peace keepers we were before. and many are not happy with harpers chocie. well that my opion

Paragraphs = Good
Spell check = Good
Proper (or at least semi proper punctuation) = good
Using the edit button = good

Now before saying something like "we're not in school, so back off." You learn this stuff in school for a reason. Being on the Internet is no reason to forget it all.

I still don't get why people continue to post without even making an effort to write something that people could read without using a decoder ring from a box of cracker jacks.

Now after decoding as much as I could of what you wrote, here's my reply:

The army doesn't turn you into a monster. They teach you that you've got a job to do. That job is protecting those who can't protect themselves.

Every insurgent you'd refuse to kill could mean countless other deaths. You don't shoot the insurgent, then he shoots you. He then goes on to shoot a couple of your fellow soldiers. If he survives past that, then he may go on to kill innocent people. How much more would your conscience suffer knowing that because you didn't kill that one guy dozens of others have died. I'd choose the lesser of two evils.

Canada has absolutely nothing to do with Iraq or what's going on there. Not a single Canadian soldier has set foot in Iraq, so why would the world be disappointed that Canada hasn't called a cease fire in an area they aren't even in?

Even if the US does call a cease fire in Iraq, do you really think the insurgents will follow it? The insurgents aren't a military force. They don't follow any rules or laws regarding war, cease fires, etc.

Our troops are in Afghanistan because they've got a job to do. Our ally were attacked on their own soil without provocation by an enemy that killed thousands of CIVILIANS! We decided to go to war with that ally (and others) against that enemy. Our troops are still in Afghanistan because the job's still not done. The enemy has obviously not yet been defeated.

Canada is still the peace keeper that it's always been. Only sometimes you obtain peace through war because there are people who will always try to disturb the peace.

I won't even comment on Steve Irwin. It's been repeated so many times already on these forums. I don't think we need another thread about it. If you didn't expect him to die from some sort of animal attack, then you must be pretty dense. He died while doing what he loved. That's all I've got to say about it.

PS: See how easy it is to read when people use paragraphs, punctuation, and spell check?

North Korea is a weird place, we discussed it one day in my international relations class here at Pennstate, they actually hav a ghost city, they built up a city for grandeur looks or half of the capital city I believe and NO ONE lives in the area, they actually have people directing traffic in that empty part of the city.

Most the countries surrounding North Korea say nothing about it. I'm assuming this is because 1, they don't know anything about it or what they do knew is absurd or a rumor and 2, Because North Koreans are not allowed to leave their country, they are all isolated. When people go in for reports in North Korea, they all give the same right answers everytime. My teacher told me that sometimes the kids are talkd with by their teachers before anyone can interview them, maybe their teling them Not to tell the truth?

Also Kim Jong-il is just crazy, did you all know that he is also a director/porn-director? He has a studio in his house/mansion whatever. His motives are so unclear that he has to be crazy. When Hussein tried to gain power he wanted to rally other 3rd World Nations and such, claiming it is a fight for them, but Kim Jong-il doesn't want help from anybody his concerns lay in the isolation of his weird country. I mean look at how quick he was to say he would go to war with Australia, HOW?!? would he go to war with Australia, North Korea has no nazy. I mean Kim-Jongil is just crazy, I think he's worse thne Saddam and Osama put together.

No Freedom whatsoever. and they all follow him because they don't know what he's holding them back from, they don't know better, i say the UN should do something about this. just because one man is the leader does NOT MEAN that he OWNS them like property. they are not his slaves, they are living beings, and deserve they rights and freedoms. i think we all agree on that.

Banning guns won't do a thing except keep them out of the hand of regular folk. If criminal wants a gun, no law's going to stop them.

Even if there's a law banning guns, it won't stop someone from buying one some other way. Criminals break the law, why would they suddenly care that guns are banned?

but still doing this would stop those who don't have any contacts with the "Black Market" gun shops. and why the heck do they really need assualt rifles? i mean for hunting just a regular rifle will do. and really what kind of 'REGULAR FOLK" buys a semiauto matic? some cazed gun collector? or some nut head. and if there was a gun banned of that gun the black storm was it? and all those other guns that are not needed, who know how many would not have been injured that day and maybe that girl would not have died.. maybe anyway. and i did not mean all guns dex. you know what, you should go into govorment buissness and join the opposition, you would be great at that. and you speak french right.

Sex offenses are some of the crimes with pretty dispicable time frames for criminals. Mostly it's because men wrote the laws, and most men (especially those in power) don't know what it's like to be sexually violated.

Oh wow, I just read this on another message board. How young can they get!?

Armed robber, 7, in Lego heist

Police in Florida are looking for a little girl, aged about seven, who tried to steal Lego at knife-point.

The girl pulled a knife on a cashier at a Wal-Mart store in Largo as she tried to walk out with two boxes of Lego.

Police say the girl, aged about seven or eight, hid the toys under her coat and tried to walk out, reports Tampabays10.com.

A store employee approached the child, asking her to turn over the Lego blocks.

Police say the little girl then opened her jacket and pulled out a 10ins carving knife.

The employee talked the girl into putting down the knife and the toys. The girl then rode away on her bicycle.
