Hi, Just thought I'd doff my hat in your general direction and present myself.

My name is Drew, and yes (as my 360's profile says) I am indeed a DJ.
I have a regular 9-5 office job at a commercial printers and in the evenings I perch on the edge of my sofa and tenderly hold my gamepad in expectation that I will better my performance from the previous evening !:swordfight:

I, for my sins, occasionally DJ in the evenings/weekends. I used to do clubs/bars and I have had a few residencies, but unless you're a superstar DJ It doesn't pay too well:mvshakefist: .I've been DJing for over 20years and now I mainly do private functions parties/weddings/Bar Mitzvahs....... :mvdj: cause it pays better. I love most types of music but specialise in uplifting & progressive house/trance (my first two cats were named Sasha & Digweed !):mvreallyhappy:

As I mentioned I live with 'The Woman' and 3 Cats and my 360, all of which get the same amount of attention, although I think 'The Woman' would possibly disagree with that statement :mvwink:

I love arcade games, FPS, RPG and strategy but not so keen on Racing games...

So there you are a little insight in to DJ Drewman, oh and I might be considered (by some) to be a 'mature' gamer!!!!!

Hey Welcome to the FORUMS!! I wanted to say hi to you and to say that i agree with the fact that if you arent a SUPER DJ you dont make nearly as much as you feel you deserve. I, myself am what they call a Computer DJ. I used to DJ off my computer. I had the scratching programs and everything. I made good money doing it...but mainly did it for fun!

Anyhow, I personally think it kicks ass that you consider yourself to be a Mature Gamer! I am 33 myself and LOVE being a part of PMS. You should have your "Woman" start playing so that she could join us as well. :D anyhow. Enjoy the forums and have fun!

Love DJing - I can do scratch but choose not too (unless the mood takes me there:music: )

no, i prefer to mix - in the sense of blending two records seamlessly together, as you would get in a nightclub, that's where my roots started, when I do partys, this is where I get original - I don't talk (well unless I have to " The Bar is Closing " ) and I mix most things together, 80's into trance into chart into club into indie etc etc, don't like/don't do the stop-start thing!!!! :mvsmile:

I try and use vinyl where I can but some tracks have to be off CD - I use CDJ800's for that - almost like vinyl.

I think i might have to emphasise the "THE" in "The Woman". My Woman rocks my world :inlove: so to me she is THE woman !! :mvgiggle: - she calls me ' The Bloke '

But she doen't really get on with the whole 'live' thing in xbox live. She enjoys her arcade, but to quote her (from the otherday, playing rainbow 6 vegas 2)
"I don't get you have to move with one hand, aim with the other, and press the trigger, while you're trying to figure out where you're getting shot from" - Personally I thrive on this, but it ain't for all :tomato:
