God Kahlo you work late lol but that is pretty cool, though the idea behind the record is pretty stupid imo :L basing a record on a high score which could change pretty frequently... i mean ya its cool that games have a record book now but if all the records are going to be based off of high scores then the book wont be very accurate

As with a lot of things, records on how well people do a particular activity tend to become a bit arbitrary, depending on whatever aspects of that activity are most easily measured. For example, how could you decide who the best baseball player in the world is? Well, one easy way is to count up how many homeruns they made during their best season. Of course, that totally neglects many other aspects of the game, but it's one quick and reasonably objective way to do it.
It's the same with a game like Guitar Hero honestly. Would hitting the highest percentage of notes across all the games make you the best player? How about having the most points added up across all the games? And for the purposes of a record book, how could you easily prove that you'd obtained all those scores legitimately? You'd need to have a massive tournament of some sort to show who had the best skills, and I doubt the folks at Guinness really have the patience for that when they're collecting data on so many other records!
The way they chose to do it seems fair enough to me. They picked the song among all the games that you can currently get the highest score on. It also happens to be revered by players as one of the most challenging songs to play in the canon. And they picked the player who is currently well-known for consistently getting the highest scores on that song, above and beyond other elite players. (if you're interested, you can look up his scores on ScoreHero.com under the tag iamchris4life - he's legendary there) I think it's reasonable.

I think Psyche FD (PerfectDark of PMS) was there. I don't know if she actually went, but I think I read somewhere that she was considering going.
That's awesome, though. :)

if your talking about ben, right now his only ttfaf vid is at 754k. and on the gh3 leaderboards he's 13th with 803,979. whereas this chris guy is 3rd with 909,258. which is interesting since a guy named paul744874 is 1st with 952,242. also another godly gh player with the GT guitARMhero is usually always in the top on the hard songs. i would go to say that chris is probably consistently better than all of them, which is why he was given the chance to get the certificate, not the others.

Chris also recently won that national Play 'N Trade tournament by getting the highest score in the nation on Through the Fire and Flames. 9-year-old Ben got 5th place overall in the nation, I believe. Not shabby! :mvshock:
I don't know anything about this paul person, which means that for some reason he's decided not to be involved in the online communities, or possibly his score his fake. (It definitely happens.) If he is legit, then not being involved in the online communities is definitely to his detriment, because people build up reputations online by posting videos, photos, and whatnot.
