"Chain"

Sterling silver,
shining on one said, dull on the other,
it pinches the hairs on your neck when twisted,
and can be hell to put around your neck,
she asked me if she could wear this chain,
I let her, it wasn't a problem,
she wore it all night,
and if she hadn't remembered,
I wouldn't have asked for it back,
I would've forgotten,
I was too busy looking into her sterling silver eyes,
the looks that pinched the hairs on the back of my neck,
and now I've got that chain back, but it doesn't shine the same way,
cause I need you there, or else nothing shines for me.
