need a Movie Editing Program?

Hey, I've been making many movies, with Windows Movie Maker, eww. And want to use a better program. I had Pennicle Studio, but everytime I'd install the disk, it would run saying there was files missing... Grrr... Anyways, Does anyone know of a good FREE movie editing program I could dl? I love iMovie for the newer Macs, iMovie version 6-something? Anyways it'd be nice having something for my XP that was kind of like iMovie. But i'll try anything right now. lol. Thank you!

WMM constantly crashes for me....so I'd like a new program too....I was going to attempt to make a music video with a movie....I also like to make video's with pictures I take(mostly to help ppl who dont wana click on every picture)

Yeah, another feature that would be cool in it, is the Ken Burns Effect, so I can take pics, and out them into movies, with that effect.

that would be cool :) I'm just sick of WMM constantly crashing on me....I can usualy get 3 pictures don compleatly then it crashes.....its so annoying ><
