So we all get a sweat on when we try and get that last level. But have you heard of injuries?
I've got one yesterday. 360 finger. On my left index finger i have a diagonal bruise from where i've been pulling the left trigger lol
It's really painful. =]

just recovered from a very hurty knee:mvsad:
playing cod4 on vet, currently stuck on a level that i just cant seem to do, so after 2 hours of the same 3 mins of the game, i shamefully admit, i lost it, i'd already gone through the obligatory cushion hitting, i moved on to hair pulling(thats right, i pulled my own hair in frustration lol) and finally, a split second decision, it was the TV or my knee- well seeing as my tv is only 3 months old(46" sammy lcd) it wasnt gonna be that, so i smacked my knee as hard as i could and threw the controller to the ground, pretty funny now looking back, and i have to say the cod games are the only ones that have ever got me worked up into such a frenzy, but at the time it hurt like hell and left me with a bruise the size of your fist, a temporary limp, and one less controller, as the right thumbstick snapped off.
they dont make controllers like they used to, who's never heard of the industry standard 'knee smacking test huh'? lol
other than that, oh, and a controller shaped dent in our bedroom wall(courtesy of cod2 veteran) which is luckily hidden by the curtains, never had any other mishaps:mvshock:

If I got into a counterstrike fenzy and try playing all day, I get really bad pains in my back and forearm. But of course I just keep playing and try not to think about it, I mean there has been days it was Cs from wake up to nighty night time(about 15-18 hours) of sitting at a desk playing. Whoooo boy do I regret that the next day :)

Lol XD I've heard some funny stories, but that one has to be up there with the greats. =D
My mum last april, bless her, bought a Wii. Played tennis with my Step-dad, them two not realising that the full throttle actual tennis swing wasen't mandatory. So after a week or so her arm started to ache, then one night, one massive swing, and a crack. She went to the doctors and she'd snapped a ligament in her elbow. I'm pretty sure it was a ligament. Something painful that needed to be cured with surgery anyway lol.

I played a marathon game of Halo 2 the week before Halo 3 came out. We were at a lan playing BRs and snipes on lockout for about 5 hours. My hands started to cramp up and my left hand was stuck in a claw for a few hours after we stopped playing.

Right now I have a sprain in my right hand, yup video game related. But the best injury was when I got a Wii at launch and me and my friend were playing Wii Sports tennis and the strap broke and I took a full force blow to the chest from a Wii-mote which led to a bruise that was purple and yellow, it hurt a lot too.

I smacked my head on the desk after getting up after playing for too long. My legs felt normal but when I got up my left leg just gave way and I fell down like a sack of potatoes, I guess something was blocking the circulation of blood :P

I have bad wrists now from how my computer was set up before.....they will never heal and every once in a while I have to put a brace on my left wrist so I can write...or at least hold something...but yea..just my wrists are in some way game related.(there is a lot more damage to my body injury wise but none game related :p)

Ive got wrist problems from years of PC gaming, and I usually end up with blisters every time another game comes out that I've been dying to play, because of course I sit down with it for HOURS the first day.
But the best one was either the lump on the head from Guitar Hero II (was all into playing, rocking out and walking around a bit while playing, and tripped over the coffee table and fell) or Rock Band (after playing awhile, your hands get sweaty, drumsticks get slippery, and one comes flying back at you.) Or maybe that's just me....

I have done so many things. Yesterday I couldn't get out of bed because the chair I use did something to my lower back, I have had carpal tunnel like... 5 times maybe. 2 times when I was play pc like a mad woman (ha-ha starcraft:mvgiggle:) and the other 3 times from wayyyy to much halo and the rumble in controllers. I couldn't game for like a week because I was playing BurnOut and I get really tense so I was pushing the joystick to hard and I had like a little bump on my thumb that hurt like crazy. I still do that. And the time I freaked out in a game with my brothers friends and I flailing my arms around and I hit my self in the forehead with my controller (ouch!). Oh ya and when I was rocking the chair like an idiot when i was playing Assassin Creed and flipped it, hit my head on the floor. I have more...:mvreallyhappy:

The worst one that i've had was when I got the controller wrapped around my leg and tripped into the solid wood coffee table. I almost cracked my skull open.

I had HORRIBLE blisters on my thumb because I used to play my N64 for ten hours straight like every day. Most recently, my chair broke (wouldnt go upright) and my back and neck got screwed up--I couldn't turn my head for days.

Hmm not going to lie I'm too manly to injure myself while playing xbox, (except for the time I accidentally dropped my controller on a lady bug, poor fella) but I did however get totally pwned by the original mario party on N64 because it had tons of mini-games where you needed to spin the joystick in circles as fast as you can so I used to use the palm of my hand because it was faster. So after about a week or so of playing that game I found I had burned a nice little hole dead center in the palm of my hand :mvshakefist:

One time I was playing mario tennis on the game boy and for one of the trainings or something to get a gold racket you had to click some buttons in a circle or sometime so fast. Me and all my friends were trying to do it. After awhile we even got gloves on because our hands were heating up lol. I think my skin even started to peel off...but hey we did end up getting the gold tennis racket so it was sooo worth it.... :/

lol mine just happened, I was trying to get all my hours of practice in on the SAME day, so I ended up playing h3 for 8 hours straight, without getting up or anything. When I actually got up, I guess there was no blood circulating in my legs, so I just fell face first into the floor. Had a real nasty headache.

Hmm... I don't really get "injuries" exactly. However, I will play all night and constantly play until I have really bad migraines. When I really get into a game; I'll go 48-72 hours without sleep (weekends/vacations of course). My eyes will really start to hurt from being open and looking at the TV screen for so long. The migraines are the worst though; constant pulsing and never ending pain.
Can't say I've had any real injuries though.

I know when i play boom boom rocket my fingers stiffen up a little and it hurts when it gets to the really fast parts. Same with Guitar hero, I tend to have finger spams. Like i don't mean to but my finger will hit a button or the strum key even when i didn't want to. I'm always cracking them and i think im developing arthritis or something. It could be nerves, motor tics, who knows, i blame gaming lol!
