I agree, the video looked awesome.. I cant wait to check it out. Best aspect is that it will be bundled along with HL2:Episode 2 AND Team Fortress 2 (if you havnt seen the new trailer check it out here (http://www.fraggerock.com/index.php/2006/07/19/team-fortress-2-trailer/). It looks like a great follow up to the team oriented FPS of old but with an artistic style and direction pulled from "The Incredibles").
The only question will be, when you puchase them.. which do you fire up first? :eek:

Oy, that's a tough question.
Maybe... TF2 if you're with friends, and Portal if you're by yourself??
I can see this breaking computers in so many ways......i mean just imagine the physics messes you could make, especially if they allow more than 1 player to create portals. Apparantly there is a mod for prey that does something like this, although I highly doubt its very refined. Also much of the dev team for portal came from another old game (proof of concept game really) that had portal stuff. Don't remember the name offhand, check wikipedia.

Portal = Puzzle Game = Godly > Prey = I want it
As far as I could tell, it seems like they got away with keeping the physic's messes undercontrol by keeping the amount of stuff in an area down. We never see a huge amount of objects at a time.
I could see my self being extremely addicted to it: similarly as I was on a telescope/block flash game that I used to play. I haven't heard anything about PhysX support, and with something like this that might be extremely helpful. Especially when people make multiplayer mods (which will happen.) I don't even want to try it with two people creating portals at all.

I've got a feeling that this will make me pretty damn dizzy. The concept, as a gimmick, looks quite cool, but I want to see this implemented in a game before I judge it. Yes, there's Prey which had the portals, and it worked out ok, but allowing the user to create their own could end up being really confusing (as this video demonstrates).
