Halo Movie Script Runs into Trouble

Hmmm... I found this little tidbit of info about the upcoming Halo movie, but i'll let you draw your own conclusions.

To me, the fact that they took Alex Garland's work and just completely decided to scrap it shows that they're paying attention to what's happening and actively trying to make a Halo movie work. I for one, will enjoy an extended wait if it means a better end result. If I saw the Halo movie and it sucked, I'd probably cry.

ouch MS really wants the Halo movie to shine in glory, which we all want as well, hopefully they did it for the better and not the worst.

But i wonder... will the movie take place in the past, like the novels, or will it be in the first halo game time line, or Nothing to do with any of them.
