Hey H20 & PMS,
I have been working on sigs for the last week now and I'm just looking for some input for the people here. Just let me know of what you think of all of them and what could be done better. If you have any links to Sigtuts it would be a great help.

They are all pretty good for starters, but I think you need to try not to make the text the focal point. Also, they are all really dark, so maybe you should try lightining them up a bit.
Try chaosgfx.net, thats where I practically learned to use photoshop :D

I made a thread not too long ago with more tutorials I've written. Look in the past pagesPlease don't take this the wrong way, as I really love your work, but I would hope that the people that use your tutorials to learn actually manage to turn their work into something personal and not just a rip-off of your work.
A lot of the signatures on these boards now look pretty alike, I say hooray for individualism and creativity!
Use the tutorial to learn the techniques, not to make a signature that looks just like the one in the tutorial.

You need alot of work, text needs work... backgrounds need more depth... etc etc
It is good, but I do agree with Jason.

oh i understand, as much I like to make things for people. I enjoy more passing on skills to make their own art. Yes I know some, tend to not take their own path, but since my style doesn't relate to those of L2, Wanderer, Sky, Gav or anyone else on this board. I cant offer any insight on that type of work. Only what I know. My styles are more off the wall. If some of those other people were to make a tutorial on some of their work it may help others wanting to learn different techniques, another way to view art and how to mold that into what they want to make.

Thanks for all the help everyone. I'm always trying to do better then the last one. All the tuts help me out. I always try to do a copy of the tut then use their methods in my own. I'm still trying to figure out all the lighting and other affects to help give it more depth. My text does suck but that is a weak point for allot of people.

alot of people think that depth in a sig is created through doing all kinds of monumental things and that its really hard to create.
TIP* acheive adequate depth by varying opacities of things in your background.

I dont believe in "styles" per-se, usually what I do is look for a cool render and when I see it I usually get an idea of what I wanna do. I dont think I have ever just used a certain "style" on a piece just because I know how to do it well... Everything I try and make is unique, and more likely than not i'll never do that same thing again.
