Myspace help?

So I use to go on myspace and stuff but I havn't in forever. I used facebook.
I currently am really bored and wanted to make my layout better.
So I tried using one of those my flash layouts that look really cool.
I copy and paste both of what it says and it turns into nothing how its suppose to.
If anyone knows that would be great lol.

You've copied exactly what they've provided you and you've pasted it exactly where it states and nothing has happened? Do you have any other layout coding or such that are in these sections along with that coding? If so, it could be causing the problem.

Yeah there is nothing else in the boxes but it still gets all screwed up.
Oh well I gave up on it I will just use a regular layout thing.

my advice, if you're following the directions and it's not working right, just use a different layout site.

I like "pimp-my-profile" or something like that (you can always google it) tons of layouts and easy to use.

You could always completely personalize it by coding your own, given that you know css and html. Screw myspace imo though, facebook rocks.

Yes I know but I don't like it. I have no offense to you Xtreme you are cool, but there are all sorts of ppl on there: Child Mylesters, Rapists, Pshycos, Deranged ppl, and ALL sorts of those things.

You're in danger regardless of the website from my understanding. At work a few weeks ago a read an interesting article in the newspaper. It started by showing you a guys social security # and stated it was in fact the real deal. It talked about how we are all in danger of identity theft just as much as he is and that our information is floating around just like his even if we don't realize it. I know that's not the only thing to few when it comes to something like myspace, but I figured I'd just throw that out there...

I think I sort of fall into that category, except the ruining the lives of others part. I got to college studying Network Security, so I major in hacking... :) but I use it for good reasons.

Brit, I kinda disagree. You're only at risk if you aren't careful. I set my profile up so nobody can add me without my information (and even if they had my information, I can just decline them). And of course, as mentioned prior, theres putting ones page on private so nobody else can read it.

With those two things, I find no reason to fear Myspace. If I'm smart enough to avoid bad people, and keep all my personal information (credit card, ssn, etc) out of where they don't belong, the internet is safe.

The Internet is no way near safe. If you think it's safe then why are people having identity theft, murders, etc.

i used to use Lovemyflash until I got annoyed with all the copying and pasting. So i just took a layout and changed the contact box, background and some other stuff. Make sure you have the about me AND who i'd like to meet codes in. And that your text is inside the html where it says "post about me here" and not out of it. Mamba is right though, pimp my profile or free web layouts are good and simple and easy to edit.

I like my page :p but my profile's background was made by a friend, so I cant help ya lol

Now for being in danger on the internet...when aren't you in danger from something^^ Everyday you meet people that you don't know, all dangerous I'm sure according to the media. Doesn't mean you stay home..I hope..

I've been off the space for over 3 months now and I feel FANTASTIC!! It really takes a lot of the edge off. You don't have to worry about comments or pic comments or if your pic is too provocative or too showy or if you need a new one or whos looking at your profile or hacker viruses or putting something on your page that might offend someone... It's relieving :mvwink:
