Please join our effort to make the security better for XBL. If you all haven't heard, our teammate Skyllus vBi had his account hacked and stolen because of the Recon Armor he received on Halo 3 via Bungie. Here is the article on Joystiq:

Please continue to email Techcrunch (http://www.techcrunch.com) at editor@techcrunch.com to get this story published there too. I promise I won't stop until some type of action is performed on Microsoft's part.

Yes there are a few threads about this now. This hacker or hackers MUST be stopped. I would be extremely angry if some stubborn loser got mad like that

Hey Arctic, I read the post about Skyllus's XBL account being stolen on here, and furthermore the posts at the various sites you have linked to.
Microsoft has some serious issues with security.. I tested out a theory I had on the subject, and was able to obtain enough information to be able to "steal" my own account, just by calling in twice..
I have had everything from my XBL, msn, email, steam, etc., stolen from me before, so I know what he is going through. It sucks, but it'll get worked out eventually.
Edit: your Joystiq link appears to be.. not working? Or is it just a "search for terms: '...' " link?
Good luck,
-Rai

I'm still highly encouraging everyone to email Techcrunch (http://www.techcrunch.com) at email@techcrunch.com to have them post this story.

I've read about this already. I know people who have gotten their accounts stolen and it is a pain to get them back. The worst thing about it is, that when you cll 18004MyXbox, they always say that it is impossible to steal accounts. That is complete crap. It is just like OGRE1 , 2, and Walshy getting their accounts stolen numerous times in Halo 2. I'll email TechCrunch. This NEEDS to be fixed.

Yes and I am seriously tired of calling a live agent for Xbox and getting some Indian guy that says "Hello sir how may I be helping you today" I am REALLY getting tired of that... there was only ONE single time I got a normal english speaking girl that actually sounded smart.....

Wow man, That's a crazy story, I'd be seriously mad if someone did do that to me.
It's sad that some people would stoop down to that Level.
Hopefully things work out for the victim.

My old one is locked and pending investigation...all of this because I want some justice. Oh well I wish for the worst possible things to happen to this o InFamous o group.

All for armor? People get so sick and twisted because someone has something they don't. I semi-understand material things, but armor in a video game? I hope they are caught and given some form of treatment. I am sorry you and your friends have to be going through this, the best thing to do until they figure out something is to have them lock the credit cards or your account, and if you think they will still use it call your credit card holders. Microsoft needs a better system going on...BADLY
Good Luck
