Need INFO

This is to anyone that can answer my question.

I noticed on that you have to be 13 to join the forums and the clan. My son is 12, and I would like him to be able to join the forums. I normally am very careful about who he plays with online and communicates with since these days there are alot of dangers out there. Being a part of the community I have met alot of great ppl and am very proud of what the clan stands for. Everyone that i have met are very nice and respectful and those are the type of ppl I would like his to enjoy his gaming years with. Is there something that Must be done before he can join now, or does he have to wait til he turns 13. He's a good kid, and a great gamer, better than myself at some games I must say. If anyone has any info for me, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

This is just designed so that parents are aware of what their children are viewing online and preventing them from doing things like buying stuff on ebay..etc.
Idk, you might be able to register for him - i believe you can enter your age as long as you are there monitoring him when he's on the forums. (I'm not 100% sure of the legal issue surrounding that scenario). Also we have duplicate registration prevention - so if you do register for him, send me a PM with his username so i can allow it to post. Thanks.

Hey I found out that there is a permission slip that I would need to fill out and fax. Is there a way I can send it over email to someone since I don't have a fax. I can scan it in.... if someone can let me know I would appreciated it. Not that it matters too much since he will be turning 13 soon.... I just know hes excited about joining

There's really no point in going through scanning and faxing that permission slip thing. Just watch what he does till he turns 13.

LOL no really, we do have to comply with COPPA and we are legally responsible to enforce it but if you lie about your age there is nothing we can do about it. Just don't admit it. But your 13 now so no big deal.
