Not bad, but very simplistic without too much change to them it seems. The first could just be a filter used in Photoshop to do that entire change, besides size. But it's a start. The second isn't so bad, but text placement could be a bit more centered and the dots could be a lower opacity to add to the userbar's quality. Keep practicing.

In the first one it looks like you did the lens flare on the staff after you did the filter... I would have done the lens flare first, and then the filter stuff. Other than that its a good start.
For the userbar, I would suggest a a lighter color of text, as it is hard to read right now.

yeah the fist one is really pretty much one filter, and the lens flare shoulda been done before the filter.
