Excuse me for remaking a topic, but in light of recent events I believe it is important to reiterate and update everyone on the situation. So here are the facts of this matter.
My PMS girl, DemonGurl, needs money to go MLG Chicago. Time used to be the deciding factor, but recently her parents were convinced to book flight/hotel/transportation to Chicago based on good faith that donations would be forthcoming. Because of this, time is no longer the key factor, and now the factor in this donation is not how fast it gets to Demon, but how much is raised.
For those of you who have sent their donations to my address I gave out, you will be getting those back. The reason being that I told my parents of this donation and they did not want me to be that involved in the process for confidential reasons. Instead the address given will be a trusted party that is close to DemonGurl, a.k.a. her grandmother.
I have to ask that everyone who is willing to donate to contact me by any means. My Xbox Live GT , my AIM screenname, and my email/MSN screenname are in my profile. PM's on the forums will also work. I'd like to thank those who have donated for their patience and understanding, and hope that there are more like them willing to give what they can. You must understand that I am not asking for a set limit only, every thing counts and every $10 is greeted with as much appreciation as a $100 donation.
Here are some things I took from the old topic to show why I think DemonGurl deserves this donation:
I'm not saying cause of the money, it's cause I see a person who genuinely deserves to go, who has practiced very hard to be as good as she is, and I also see someone who needs a miracle in order to go.
Would Demon and I's undying gratitude be enough to permit a donation? I realize you're uncomfortable with donating money so that a stranger gets to go to an MLG, but for Demon this will more than likely be a one in a lifetime experience, due to her situation. So would it be enough to make someone's life a bit better?
Here is a list for those who do not know why I believe she deserves this money.
1. She's a devoted clan member
2. She's raised a lot of money by herself.
3. This is the only time she'll get to go to an MLG.
4. It'll be the only time she's allowed some freedom away from Hawaii, a chance to go hang out with friends, and most importantly, to compete.
5. I think she's the greatest person in the world.
6. She didn't ask for donations, I did. Cause I saw that this was the only way possible.
Sorry for the abundancy of quotes, but I wanted to stress my point as much as I possibly could. Thank you for your time and efforts everyone, and hope the generosity and caring is as forthcoming as it was when the situation was more dire than it is now.
