DVD in WMP and Media Center?

I reformatted my computer not to long ago. Today I popped a DVD into my computer and both WMP and Media Center gives me errors saying either I don't have a DVD player or I don't have what I need to decode the DVD. WMP gives me links to these nifty decoder plug-ins, but no my non-surprise -- you have to pay for them.

I was wondering if anyone knew of some good spyware/crap free free (non-trial versions) decoder dohickies that will allow me to watch DVDs in WMP/Media Center.

First link doesn't help, and I guess I should have already mentioned I'm using CCCP codec pack.
