You can negate the issue with semi humorous banters, but they do not contribute to the extreme disrespect they get in gaming by males. It just fuels the flames.

Eh, I guess it just comes down to the girl. I know my friend Belle would have (possibly does have) a great time exchanging insults, while other girls prefer to just mute it and put it aside.

Still, I love hearing a witty woman swing back, especially since it doesn't take a whole lot of wit to outdo the morons on Live. Even when they're entirely demolished and everyone else, even their friends, knows it, they make stupid comments. It's hilarious.

Hell, sometimes it's just hilarious to hear them try and insult women to begin with. They can't do it. It's kind of like how some guys are unnecessarily hostile towards anyone and everyone for no reason, and let fly one baseless insult after another. After a while, you can't help but laugh at their impossible stupidity.

But again, it all comes down to your personality. I could sit and listen to someone bash me for 5 minutes and just laugh at their idiocy, or just mess with them by agreeing and burning myself even more; but I know many girls and some guys just don't want to deal with it.
