Hopefully someone could help me out with this issue. Bandai / Namco is realeasing Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation with a Flight Stick, just like they did on the PS2 a couple of years back for Ace Combat 5. So heres my question, will the PS2 Flight Stick work with the 360?
I went last night night to the friendly neighborhood Game Stop and asked them the same question and there answer was ".......................duh, I dunno", WHAT IS WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE!!!!!, so I went ahead and preordered the game with another flight stick, but once you open it you cant exchange or return it, so thats why Im hoping that someone can answer this question and save me from spending $167.49.
Thank you for reading this and please respond, I really need help.
I don't see why a PS2 flight stick WOULD work with the 360. Unfortunately it looks like the $167 is going to be spent :p

Yeah I dont see how you could pull that one off. Not like they make a converter for the controller plugs.

Actually, it *may* be possible. I can't guarantee if it'll work or not, but this looks promising:

Don't know if it would work with the flight stick, though. If not, I think they also have PS2 to USB converters, such as described in http://play.tm/story/2699. Again, not sure how well or even if they would work...but you never know.
Best of luck!
yeah i saw the flight stick for the 360, is that comes with the game?

okay, hopefully this will save you at the most 80 to 90 big ones. I heard of this website that you get games for a fraction of the cost when you buy at major retail stores. The games come brand new and you don't pay full price.
If you have a credit card, go to silvertag.com. I got my xbox 360 for 22.84, that's right 22.84. if you are not in the mood for paying out the ying yang for what you are interested in, I suggest you check out the website and save for a new car. Oh, and buy the way, they sell cars there too. just a heads up on your savings.

I'm a heavy xbox modder.. so this post is bugging me to find out for you.
I'll edit with any infos I find.
Edit1: No promises yet, but I think it might be possible.
The AC5 FS2 is capable of USB, so it WILL connect to a PC/Xbox360. An updated version of a homebrew driver for the AC5 FS2, for Windows (XP, not sure on Vista) just came out recently.. Looking into xbox360 possibilities.

Thanks alot Raiden, as far as the flight stick is concerned i just went ahead and bought the 360 version, and Im extremely happy with the purchase. I went to a local Fry's Electronics and they offered other joysticks that would be somewhat compatible, but looked horrible and were pretty pricey too. So thank you guys for trying to help.

Once I get it, you won't see me coming. I am a dogfighting enthusiast and love the show on discovery. You learn all sorts of crazy tactics.

Ah. Turns out it would require some complicated.. well.. "things" you wouldn't want to do to your flight stick. All the better that you bought the new one then! :)
I've heard good things about it.. it seems to have the body of a Saitek x45 or x52, and its own company's internals. And hell, it looks good too.
I'll maybe have to hit you up for a game of AC6 sometime Triple, I'll be picking it up sometime in the next month hopefully.
