Buddy getting owned (yet again)

Well today I got a PM from buddy.

The title was "ahah im sorry dude, i just wanted to rub it in your face"

It went something like this:

Buddy: haha no more R6 or GoW division! Why because H3 is better than sex!

Kal-El: People said the same thing when H2 came out. A week later GR2 came out and it had a HUGE player base. R6 and GoW are old now. People are playing H3 because there's nothing else out now.

Buddy: Oh yeah.

So much for rubbing it in my face. :P

For now. And why is that? Because GoW and R6 are both old by now. Vegas was a crappy Halo wannabe anyways.

When Halo 2 came out it was popular as heck. Everyone played it. A week later GR2 came out and that game had a huge player base. The people played Halo 2 until something else came out.

It's the same with Halo 3, except nothing else has come out yet. COD4 is around the corner though, and I know a lot of people are getting ready for that.

never said CS was awesome. Also there is an age limit at tournaments to 17+ sometimes 18+
so no little brats there.

It just has a large fanbase is all. Other games the communities break down once a newer game comes out. Like Quake for example. A ton of the HxC players still remain
[IRC ETG] #ctfpickup #dual #fs are good channels to find q3/q4 games.
for those curious, but everyone is afraid of it dying and thus kills the community faster.

ET:QW and about to start playing TF2 with a clan. Honest I dont have time to play anythign anymore. I havent played quake in months cause of work and school.

ah well yeah. Im trying to get into a clan again, so im really only going to play 1 or 2 games for now.

im retiring quake until Quake 0 and Quake 5 are out. Also depending on the beta, SEVERITY.
