to me this game looks like utter FunnyBunnyFunnyBunnyFunnyBunnyFunnyBunnye.
however i will take the time to download the demo and play it when i get my 360 back.
i can guarantee though i wont spend 60 bucks on this game.

skywalker, you shouldnt judge this game without playing it, i didnt like the look of it but its awesome, it really is.

but from the trailers i saw it looked like crap.
i hate the single player idea of the game.
and the graphics are just another doom3/quake4 repeat.

the trailers dont do it justice, and the graphics are alot better than doom 3....doom 3 is just shadow after shadow after shadow to show off their new engine its basically a game to show off what they can do for future projects, i think doom 3 was one of the worst FPS ever.

I bought the reserve for the game a few days ago and it came with a pewter figurine of the mutate! It's pretty cool looking. All I need to do now is just pick up the game today. :D

Doom was good... But Prey should be better.. I tried to pick it up this morning but none of the stores (EB, Gamestop, Circuit City and Bestbuy) had it in yet. I'll try again later today, supposedly it will arrive around 5-ish.

Who wants a spoiler? I just finished the game yesterday evening, and I will admit, i was rather impressed how well it ran on my laptop. It is clear that it utilizes the doom engine, and is somewhat of a cross between quake 4 and F.E.A.R in terms of the story concept, but its quite compelling at the same time. Of course there's room for future sequels. I think there could have been added depth to the story in quite a few areas, its a bit run & gun at times, and the puzzles might trip you up for a few minutes, but aren't really all that complex.
I will they they use the gravity and portal stuff to create some rather cool things, wall walking is just the beginning of it, the whole relative gravity concept and functionality of portals makes the game worth playing. I won't spoil the storyline, just say there are some very massive environments in addition to the close combat, and even cooler - the way the world acts towards the end. Some of the rooms the way they appear in the last say hour of gameplay is jaw dropping, no other way to put it.

When it comes to PC compared to xbox, the game is pretty similar between the two in terms of graphics, gameplay is essentially exactly the same. The one difference would be in texture resolutions, with PC having a bit higher resolution textures of course, so things might look a tad shiner. Still overall, you'll be happy with either one, now we just must see how the multiplayer community develops.

I agree. I am enjoying the single player as well. I got some multiprey in tonight with a few people. It was a lot of fun, and nearly lag free for most of the night.

I finished the sp campaign yesterday, and I gotta tell ya... it was a hell of a ride. The story, while it started kinda weak, ended very strongly and I loved every minute of it. Without giving too much away... I cant wait for Prey 2 ;) .

The story wasn't the strongest the entire way through, i felt that there were some pretty large gaps, the end only started to being out some useful information. I felt that games like halo actually provided a much better in-game story. Unfortunately video games haven't been perfected as story telling mediums yet :-/ It was a really fun game though, i finished it on...Monday. Yes, i know it came out on tues...shush.

What about Max Payne or Half-Life for story... But I guess those are only 2 series. And as for Halo's story... Agreed.

oh prey is conclusive in a way, yet leaves the door way open for a sequel, so gamers can be satisfied and have anticipation at the same time. Not a bad combo. Still overall, don't expect any more immersive of a storyline than say quake 4.

Sorry, I didn't like it. I didn't think the game looked good at all and it was too Quake-esque for my liking. I also thought the gameplay was pretty repetetive.

I plan on playing multiplayer for quite a bit, since there are plenty of achievements to get. :)

It's too laggy to get any kills, so it is grenades and rocket launchers or bust.
