So some friends and I are probably going to be getting a PS2 both repaired and modded solely for playing custom Guitar Hero 2 songs. Any suggestions of where I can go to find good songs, programs, tutorials, or anything else that might help would be GREATLY appreciated, especially if you've done it yourself.

Also I've taken claim to making the "Most randoms songs to play" version of the game (yea, we're each going to make our own copy with our own selection of songs and get together and play it) so "random" song suggestions would be great also. And by random I mean stuff like "Dueling Banjos", The Halo 2 "Insurrection" theme, and whatever else either anybody else or myself can come up with.

Thanks in advance!

Go to Scorehero for your customs songs needs. :) They explain everything there.

My customs disc is pretty random (I didn't make it myself, a friend of mine on Scorehero did) - but some of my favorites to play on there are Those Who Fight Further, Canon Rock, and The Duncan Hills Coffee Jingle. Also there's this hilarious song called "The Pylons are Trap Balls". Get Xepher too if you want to blow your mind, and of course any Dragonforce song is almost a requirement for a customs disc. I also really like Vivaldi's Winter.

Yea I googled and found scorehero after I made this, but figured there were other sources rather than scorehero. Thanks. ^_^

Scorehero is definitely the best source for it. The community is very tight and practically everyone who is involved in custom songs is on Scorehero. :)

I use torrents for complete games and currently have 10ish 'hacks' with complete song lists along with gh1, gh2, and encore.

If you go to any torrent site, just type in gh or guitar hero and you'll get several hits for modded versions. Some are better than others, so read the comments!
