Ok, so who is going? I will be in town then and I need a room. I dont really want to room with a bunch of random guys I dont know. If anyone here is going, can I tag along? I can pitch in for whatever.

I know its kinda far away, but I need to make sure that I can go. I am supposed to show up for event coverage and interviews and well, it would mean alot if I could stay with people I know and trust.

Kevin (my bf for those of you who dont know) and I met at Winter CPL last year because we each needed a room to stay in and took the first offer available. So in a since - he doesn't want that to happen again with another guy. lol

So apparently they upped the price of admission DRAMATICALLY! BYOC is now $75 and Tournament entry is also $75, but with a free BYOC admission..... so either way its alot more money than I was willing to spend.


Im hoping they have a press rate, because I can't afford $75

You can create one if you like. I removed your post that bumped last years CPL which leads to believe there are free passes to this event (which there is not) due to its announcement nature. If you want create one in the events section of the private forums.

Though there is no word on that on their website... but 20ID says they're going.

The CPL Announces $1,000,000 Halo 3 Competition

Halo_3DALLAS, Texas—October 26, 2007— The Cyberathlete Professional League® (CPL®) announces that it will host a $1,000,000 “Halo® 3” Xbox 360™ competition at the Extreme Winter Championships taking place Tuesday, December 18 to Saturday, December 22, 2007 at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Dallas, Texas.

The $1,000,000 “Halo 3” competition is being organized by X Factor Tournament, a new e-sports management organization in exclusive partnership with the CPL.

The winner of the $1,000,000 “Halo 3” Xbox 360 competition will receive a $250,000 instant cash payout at the CPL Winter event. Other prizes will be paid to at least 64 places. The competition is open to gamers worldwide and does not require pre-qualification or previous tournament experience.

The online registration will open Tuesday, October 30th. More information will be available on Monday, October 29th at Halo3Competition.com

this whole thread was made for that reason. And so far no one said yes.

My icon says PMS but im not in the clan anymore. Like I would have roomed with a friend with 20ID, but hes in a room with that clan and I cannot room with them.
I have a feeling Amber will be the same way :/

if not for that reason, then for personal reasons that are beside the point.

either way I really need a room. I can go 3-4 days without sleeping. I may just have to do that :/

I am sorry but we will only provide PMS|H2O rooms to competitive members of the clan who are participating at that competition and they are put 4 to a room and we especially do not provide rooms to members who have left our clan to join another competitive clan. It does not even make sense.

Sorry to hear you cannot find a roomie, I would recommend talking to people who are spectating.
