Anyone into this band? Their from Sweden and they're pretty big in Europe so I'm just wondering if anyone else likes them?

Download Trigger, it's my favorite song by them if you want to check them out.

Oh yea, their genre is "Melodic death metal" which basically means, it has more 'cleaner' parts than just regular screaming. But it's not as evil as you might think, heh.

Hey to each their own....you can also go to http://www.inflames.com/main.html and they have a streaming player with some good stuff, Cloud Connected is a softer song.

I dunno, they don't seem to sing about evil stuff from what I've seen, so I don't know why they're classified as death metal...?

Oh and if you like this band you might also like

Dry Kill Logic (http://www.drykilllogic.com)
SOil (http://www.soil-music.com/)
and Killswitch Engage (http://www.killswitchengage.com/)

In Flames is awesome... If you like them, you might possibly like some Lamb of God, especially the album Ashes of the Wake. But be warned, Lamb of God is a little bit more "extreme" than In Flames, the biggest difference would have to be in the vocal department... but they are cool none the less.

The Faded Line by Lamb of God is the best IMO. :)

Last time Lamb of God was here (in Co.) they came with Slipknot and I really wanted to go, but I didnt have the money.... It sucked, my friends said it was awesome.

That's pretty crazy, I'm not a huge Slipknot fan though, but still would've been good to see.

I just remembered. The Sounds of the Underground Tour (http://www.soundsoftheundergroundtour.com/), thats where In Flames is playing. There's going to be tons of bands. But there wasnt enough bands to interest me to attend the show, I listen to about 5 bands there. Plus the ticket price is high for me right now. :(

I was a huge maggot, because I haven't listened to them much lately.

wow two of my favorite bands are Lamb of God and Slipknot. Too bad I live in a sh1thole town. Where they dont come. Yeah I've listened to some inflames, my friend is obsessed with them. About in the same way I am with Lamb of God. Good to know there are other bash metal fans around these forums.

Lamb of God>pretty much anything lol

Eh, not into metal much. I'll listen to it though, I just like more haunting vocals than violent, i.e. singing than screaming. Not bashing metal or nothing, I like metal, but there are MANY kinds of metal. I'm into old school stuff mostly.

And that's all I've got to say about that.

And if anyone doesn't like it, remember this quote from Forrest Gump: "Stupid is as stupid does"

Rock fans, sweetness!!! I picked up In Flames on a whim a while back and was pleased with the purchase. Saw Silverstein, Aiden and It Dies Today last week in Philly. It was off the hook. :D

In Flames is pretty good, and the new Lamb of God is just awesome. If you like those, check out The Dead Eye by a band called The Haunted. I started hearing them on Sirius and checked out the CD, and IMO, it is amazing.

I think death metal is a little older I think in america at least you mean nu-metal which is all inclusive for bands like in flames and also includes like hatebreed (only screaming). But since this is my kinda music Ive heard in flames and there ok but you may not call it melodic but my favorite has to be slipknot followed very closely by Fear Factory. FF is the secks if you like in flames youll prolly like newer fear factory as it get more melodic as there albums go. You should check them out there absolutely amazing infact imma listen to em right now...

The term Nu-Metal kind of died off and things are categorized in more of "Death metal / Metal / or Metalcore". Audible lyrics separates Death Metal from the pack and then break downs in songs separate Metalcore from Metal. If that makes sense:-p

I like FF's older stuff (I have Digimortal), I haven't really heard any of their stuff ever since Dino left, he wrote a lot of their music.

Some of In Flames stuff is melodic, it's not screaming all the way through in some of their songs. I picked up their newest album and I'm pretty disappointed with it, definitely not my favourite.

I said the same thing when I heard Come Clairity (the song) but being the Flames fan that I am, I picked it up and it eventually grew on me. It's probably my 2nd favorite now (Clayman and Reroute are tied for # 1).
