So the new Guilty Gear comes out today.

I may get it...since I've liked the series since say X2 came out for both the PS 2 and an xbox version....Thankfully I still have my trusty PS 2...make that 3 PS 2...LoL..I trust my PS 2 still even more than my stupid xbox 360...What a horrible system...keeps having issues and breaking down frequently and often....While my PS 2 remains living for 4 years now without any issues or problems....Heck even my GameCube has a pretty good lifespand..It has'nt had a problem yet...Brought it since 2002 X-mas...It still working like a brand new GC....Yeah will tell you and let you know how it is and what I think of out...should be pretty good....

I have a few actually....I like Sol Badguy, Jam (the japanese chief girl...LoL), and Dizzy...I don't play with no one else really in Gulity Gear...Maybe there might be a new character I may like or grow to like in this new Guilty Gear game...

Chip and Faust all the way! I'm not bad with Sol Badguy either, but I have a blast with Faust and I just never stop moving with Chip. :p

ive heard good things about gg but never played it.
is it worth checking out for people who are new to the series?

i still havent even finished my re:4, god of war, mgs:2 (which i never finished years ago), shadow of the colossus and i havent even put my onismusha: dawn of dreams game in my ps2 yet!

i need to get on the ball to finish those games

Honestly, I know very little about the story. I think there are FAQs that people actually include background information and everything which is really nice. If you wan't to jump into this one this late in the game, then by all means do so. It's a 2D great fighter, really fast paced, and not to mention that the soundtrack has some of the most awesome guitar riffs I've ever heard. Go check it out. It's worth it.

alright next time i go to blockbuster ill rent it and tell you what i think.
im not the hugest fan of fighters but my friend always talks about this game so im going to see how i feel about it.

Its pretty good...Its a bit more technical than say Street Fighter 3 and Alpha...So be kind of prepared to learn a few new things about it that mostly any 2-D fighters you have played... Like some moves (supers) are mostly like SF Alpha input commands or KOF...but sometimes it gets a bit more inputting commands you never seens before....Try it and you'll see what I mean...

Guilty Gear is awesome. However the new one does not have any story what so ever. Other wise have fun with it.
