Well I went to a local entertainment store today called Hastings to see if I could find a good deal on Guitar Hero 2, to my surprise I found Bioshock. I am playing it right now in the medical pavilion (the area directly after the end of the demo) and this game is friggin amazing. I have noticed several changes from the demo to the full game, for one the machine gun and infernate are found later in the game then where they were in the demo. In fact I still have yet to find friggin infernate.... And when you hit start you get this sort of little sister tracker, it tells you how many are in the area you are so on and so forth.
So yeah though I would inform you peoples,the game is everything people were hoping it would be...

I could be playing it now if I decided to reserve the regular edition but decided not to. Rather wait for a Collector's Edition to show up on the shelf instead.

Dang it, I can not figure out how the heck to buy new slots for my plasmids. So far I only have two unlocked but have about four or five plasmids, and I just got a control the big daddy one as a reward for saving little sisters instead of just harvesting them.

Just tested the PC demo on my machine, and it looks like I'll be getting the PC version. Looks better than the 360 version, at least on my machine, plus the future of mods.

The game is fantastic.. There is an amazing twist about 2/3 of the way in.
I'll warn you though, dont look up the achievements online. It will spoil a few things for you (though it wont ruin a few of the twists). You're better off not looking them up ahead of time. Just make sure you save a LOT and make lots of extra saves (i have two per level, one I made at the start and then one once I've finished the final objective in the level), that way if you want to go back to nail those achievements without re-playing the whole game, you can.
p.s. you buy new slots for your plasmids at the little sister vending machines (only certain vending machines will give you the option to do so). You dont come across those until you reach the level after the medical facility (after you've taken on your first big daddy or two). In reality you'll probably find 2-3 plasmids which you really enjoy and use those throughout the whole game. I stick to Shock, Telekinesis and from time to time I'll use Insect Swarm or Incinerate.
The control big daddy is cool, but I had a couple instances where they would trip over a trap of mine while following me around and then proceed to beat the ever living crap out of me.
Funny story; I was playing last night and was slowly exploring a creepy room when out of nowhere an enraged big daddy comes charging at me. Turns out he tripped over one of my traps half way across the level, got angry (how did he know it was mine?!?!) and tracked me down! I was massively confused as to where he came from for a long time until--while back-tracking-- i saw my electric-bolt trap missing and put 2 and 2 together :)
This game is awesome.. provides great water-cooler talk with friends as there's so many different ways to tackle every situation.
I have to wait until the 23rd, what kind of one-day shipping is that?

Just picked up my copy, Circuit City has the game for $40, both versions.
My PC is eagerly awaiting splicer carnage.

Yeah, last night I got all of my plasmid slots open, I have electro bolt 2, incenerate, telekinesis, cyclone, and winter blast (personal favorite so far :D). I am holding one slot open for what is sure to be one of the best powers of the game, insect swarm,
THE SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME! I was in that forest, I forget the name of it, but it's something with an A. Out of nowhere a Big Daddy comes running up, I naturally did my usual attacks killed it then went to get the little sister, except there was none. Apparently he tripped over one of my traps I had placed at the very start of the level.
As for the twists, the only I have some across is the one with the submarine going boom, I won't go into anymore to spoil it for you guys about to play it. Needless to say, I is excited now....

I dont like the winter blast plasmid... if you shatter the enemy you get no loot :(
And I love me some loot.
You dont need to save the slots, you can run up to a gene bank and swap them out whenever you want.

Well I have insect swarn now, not as great as I thought it would be, but it does come in handy when you're fighting big daddies. I have noticed something though, ever since I started saving little sisters some big daddies just have nothing with them. After getting fed up of killing them and not making a lick of ADAMN I followed one, he sits and bangs on the little sister crawl space thing and cries. How odd.......

I hate the big daddys. Every time I come across one its like I cant beat it without dying 18 times. They charge at you and you cant dodge or anything, and then when I revive I have no ammo/health kits, and plasmids dont do anything.

Just takes planning. It's a bit more difficult at first, but once you can make trap bolts it's a breeze. Unless you fight a Rosie. Rosie's are just difficult period.
If I could find some more ammo I would be fine since I fully upgraded the shotgun. They dont give you too much money and ive searched everywhere. I have all the guns and only 2 have ammo in it.

Electric buck is really helpful for a Bouncer, if you've got the parts to make some.
For a Rosie, the best strategy seems to be just dodging their shots the best you can, and chucking their mines back at them with telekinesis.
Right now I have absolutely no ammo, no health kits, and no plasmid ammo. Im at the part where im overloading the core to find Ryan.

Be prepared for the biggest plot twist to ever come to the gaming world. My advice, if your having too much trouble fighting the big daddies, maybe dumb down the difficulty when you fight them into you know you have the proper equipment to take them down.
I can kill them, its just if I had some ammo it would be a lot easier than the ways I have to..being dying and hitting them with plasmids and dying and repeating about 6 times before I kill them. With the shutgun I can take them out easily but I havent gotten more than like 6 rounds whenever I approach one.
Right now im at the part with the spiral steps in the middle, after the plot twist.

I am having a hard time reviewing this game for several reasons, but the main one...
I dont have anything negative to say.
I enjoyed this game too much! this game is truly a masterpiece. The plot/storyline is one of the best ones I've seen in long, long years. Beautiful.
Totally worth the $60.....
i got mine at EBgames last copy.

Picked up my copy yesterday, and it was worth both the wait and the cash. Haven't gotten that far I think, I'm trying to ressurect the gardens now.

I use the Incinerate plasmid, then shoot him about 4 or 5 times, if not a bit less, with the shotgun. :) Seems to work for me
Its fine now, I beat it on Easy & medium. I think the boss is too easy, beat him in one try on both difficulties.

I didnt have much intrest in this game when I heard about it...but then the demo came out. I couldnt believe how cool this game is....I really want it now. It looks amazing and it seems like such a unique idea...I cant wait to get my hands on the full version.

Is that the Limited Edition Bioshock for EU? The other LE comes with a big box, Big Daddy figure, and a plastic case for the games. I'm guessing that one also comes with all that stuff, but with a metal casing?

How do you get this achievement:
Found Cohen's Room (10) The player has entered Sander Cohen's personal quarters.
I'm guessing its the room at the top of the Theater where you could not go in at first? I went in there but the achievement didn't pop up...so wondering how exactly do you get it.
And also...
Lucky Winner (10) Hit the jackpot at a slot machine.
What's the jackpot look like? All I get is one set that never lines up and one set of 3 apples.

no choco that isnt the limited edition... there are 3 types of the Bioshock game 1. Normal Edition 2. Tin Editions (in the pic) 3. Limited Edition (big daddy figurine)
also for the jackpot just keep tryin it over and over you will get it i dont remember what the set of images is to get it but i was just messin with it and got the jack pot... also the cohens room you first have to have not killed him after making his master piece then when you went to Olympic highs or w.e it was called there was an apartment with 2 splicers dancing if you kill them cohen comes running down from upstairs and trys to kill you after that you just go up stairs and look in the rooms and you get the achievement.

Oh...the Gamestop here didn't carry any of the Tin Editions I think...and I don't recall seeing any of those on the EB/GS website either which was why I'm asking.
