GTA Pushed back till March 8th

Man i was really looking forward to be playing this game in a couple months. I guess we will have to wait a pretty long time. It is kinda dumb how things like this happen expecially when its pushed back THAT far. Kinda ridiculous IMO.

Wedbush Morgan analyst Michael Pachter believes that Rockstar has delayed the release of Grand Theft Auto IV because it is struggling with development on the PlayStation 3. And since it's likely that Rockstar had an agreement with Sony not to favour one console over the other, it means they can't release one version and delay the other.

"We think it is likely that the Rockstar team had difficulty in building an exceptionally complicated game for the PS3, and failed to recognise how far away from completion the game truly was until recently.

"We think it is also likely that Take-Two had a contractual commitment to Sony that it would not favour competitor Microsoft by launching the Xbox 360 version of GTA IV prior to launching the PS3 version, and believe that any delay of the PS3 version necessitated a delay of the Xbox 360 version."

The game has been delayed until February, March or April of 2008, though hopefully we'll have a more specific date soon.

things like this always happen to the GTA games Buddy..unfortunatly yea, I do think it kinda sucks...but after SA I was kinda turnd off from GTA...that game was not fun for me cus I got lost when trying to do the story(god was the area huge). I did not like the girlfriend factor at all in that game....or most of the other factors, and I had more fun making trains out of towtrucks and big rigs lol I may go back to it one day and acctualy play the story like...but the fact that you could tow things and the jets that were lying around made it too distracting for me :p

Kinda unsuprising, all factors considered, big budget games strive for greatness and take years to make as a result, i wouldn't be entirely suprised if March wasn't the final release date. So long as it kicks my 360's a$$ with it's gameplay i don't really care when it comes out.
