Im going to be picking this game once it is release and if we get about 8 people over that play on it i was thinking of starting a chromehounds community nothing clan based yet just a good group of people having fun together. I have 4 other friends in real life who r picking it up and i have some old clan members (who i havent played with in over 2 years) who might pick it up.

incase some of u dont know i used to be part of a mechassualt 1 & 2 clan 2 years back called the wolf dragoons. so yeah i love mech games not sure when mechassault 3 is comming out just know about the ds game lol. So yeah chromehounds will keep me busy til the time comes if any want to add me send a FR.

Oh btw since im in 2 divisons already ill probably play in the afternoons and late at night.

Heehee, I get mine on the 11th from my local gamestop. $5 off it also. :) I am in to BattleMech games. I mostly play MechWarrior on PC. Not this stupid MechAssault bs that "post" to continue where the MechWarrior games left off. Microsoft, you guys really **** up BattleTech for making that crap. Anyways, graphics and gameplay look alwsome in this game. :) I can't wait for Tuesday.

Make sure you join the same nation when you get online, otherwise you may have some problems playing.

I was MORSKOJ at first becuase they have more powerful weapons, but once I saw SAL KAR dominance in action I decided to go there. Its wishy washy right now, as cities are being taken back and forth.

aiight so i was gonna get the today right wen TWO horrible things happened.
1. Gamestop calls to let u kno that the game iz availabe. So they call me and say that it wont be available till wednesday.

2. my mom borrowed some money 4rm my aunt and said she was gonna give it bak asap. Well my mom didnt have any money cuz she had to pay an emergency bill (i.e pg&e) so i had to loan the money. I only have like 30 bucks on me and that aint enough.

Its probably going to take me about a month to get very connected with this game since its a huge game much to master i mean with the 115 maps and tons of weapons and armors. I'm concerned about a few things in the game. The UK Demo was depressingly buggy and badly scripted. I assume you change the mechs mainly for how they showed. Really I'm wondering if it is really a squad based system or is it much more of a everyone uses the same mech deal.

I am ofcourse a fan of the whole map where players take and lose cities but I was extremely disapointed in the MechAssault games. This looks to be different (what I played of the demo) but I wasn't all that happy with what I saw.

I do like the reticle in the top right only and not always there. I also like the zooming idea- where it is much more like a hipshoot idea when not zoomed in.

Mostly I wonder if the single player is as linear as the demo, or as buggy. For multiplayer I wonder mostly how they did the balancing. I would almost assume that wheels will out do the leg models any day, so I would like to see how they balance it all.

If I do get the game (might rent it, might buy it- dunno) I will be sure to check out what you guys are doing.

Gav, from everything I have seen, along with quite a few people, the demo was a piece of crap compared to the real game.

The single player seems to be designed just to get you used to each RT and to unlock parts, the real meat is the multiplayer

I suggest you check out http://www.chromehound.com, get a better impression of the multiplayer. People really get into the War.

There are massive amounts of parts from what I've heard Dex. That's one of the big hooks actually for mech junkies is the garage mode.

EDIT: For my Hound, I'm deciding between Defender, Heavy Gunner, or Tactics Commander right now. Leaning more towards Heavy Gunner and TC.

The war continues until one nation has dominated, or 2 months pass. After either of those, the war resets.

You'll be able to join and start your Hound any time they retake the capital, which has happend multiple times so far.

My Hound is part soldier part sniper, the weapons work well together and it is pretty fast for a sniper type.

Ill have to switch areas though if I join, but then more parts become available.

I recommend completing a few of the story arcs to get decent parts and system devices.

yeah ur right random atm im a commander yet im not sure what weapons to use it really doesnt matter what weapons i use i guess i just stay bak and tell everyone where the guys r its pretty boring job lol. yet i have an awesome scout and solider made. I completed the commander story and soldier so far :)

Keep in mind that the heavy gunner doesn't do much Hound to Hound combat. Your there to bombard HQs and the like from a distance.

If you are unsure which RT to use then just play single player to get a feel for it.

This game iz pretty tight. I mean im still in tha process of finding an instant action but w.e.

I think that this game iz pretty good cuz now u HAVE to play the solo missions b4 actually going online. I mean there are a lot of games out there to were u have to play the solo missions but this game iz really based on it. w/o it, going onto multiplayer iz like playin videogames without any thumbs.....its possible but extremly difficult.

Overall its a different type of game than mechassualt or mechwarriors...strategy this time iz actually essential.

Don't matter what you are. Its best to config your Mech with main weapons and backup weapons. For example, a Sniper Mech should have mostly sniper weapons and close range weapons for back up in case the enemy gets you into a brawl. I personaly is a Sniper and a brawler (Defender). Mostly a sniper. The Team is useless without a good commander. Talking and thinking of battle plans is the key to win on the battlefield. This is what I like about this game. 20 vs 20 combat. Anyways, is former H20s (like myself) invited to this squad? Also, what country?

Morskoj and Tarakia are really at it. Their the only ones I see that have good players. Sal Kar is having a lot of trouble but that country is not going down without a fight I see. :)

Ive got some seriously wacky looking creations, but they all perform quite well! The sky is the limit when it comes to making your hound (and your load capacity, lol). Im at work right now, and I cant think of anything but the Neroimus War! Its rediculous!

The last mission in which campaign? I play too much online play to really mess with the story, I have only beaten story mode with the Scout, and Im half way through with my sniper.

I ADVISE NEW PLAYERS TO GO THROUGH STORY MODE AND DO WELL! SOME OF THE BEST WEAPONS AND PARTS ARE ONLY AVAILABLE THROUGH SINGLE PLAYER!

Depends on what you want to do really. But for a soldier/HG mix, I would say mix rockets and cannons, maybe some light machine guns.

If you want a good hound, make one that is completely the rt you do best at without worrying about the weight or speed. Then try to add in weapons that cover for any weak points, machine guns on a sniper etc.

If you have enough pieces then always try different combos, and decide what role you want to play in a squad so you can have the best setup.

Speed is important but so is cockpit durability. Same with the generator. If those goes you speed will be cut in half at least.

Did the squad disban or something? I was in the War by myself getting some cash. When the mission ended it gave me some warning that it wont record but I will still get the money. When I got to the main screen I notice I was no longer in the PMS H20 Recruit squad. I search for it because it may just removed me (no one was on). But, the search failed. No match found.

This Thursday (my first day off), their is a chance I will not be on. My reason is because its my 19th Birthday and their is a chance I will not be on. I am just reporting this to the H20/PMS Recruit commanders. Even though I have been told I be taking a position in Chrome Hounds H20/PMS Bravo Squad (mostly because of my Semi-Active state with my job), I just want to report this so it wont leave me a Black Check.

You can't sell or trade the DLC parts.

No realoading during a mission - you only get what you take in. You can up the ammo count before you head out though

Hover Fun

You guys and gales should try just using hover chassis on that Harbor map. Its pretty fun. Junkyard and I just mess around doing this against the computer...we also found out that Heat Seeking Missiles can go into the water and hit its target. That made us laugh seeing they can't shoot their weapons under water, but we can still use Heat Seeking Missiles that can go through the water and still hit them. :)

I've had troubble with the online servers and why must we be forced to read the reports from the front before the online options appear.

Servers are constantly down or unavaible.

I love mech games but not sience steel battalion-line of contact have i been this annoyed with the online game....and it had a 40+ button controller causing lots of lag.

I'm going to keep trying but i'd expect mechassault 360 to own this.
Hopefully the custimization and in cockpit 1st person view will be added to mechassault's gameplay.

I been thinking about this. Every three wars our sqaud should change to another Nation. This is because we can get parts from each nation...that parts we need. Staying in one nation is making our Mechs limited to the parts our Nation has to offer. Can we PLEASE change nation after this war. I don't care it as to be Sal Kar.

Just letting you guys know I am squadless at the moment so if theres a spot on any of your squads.......I got near 50 million in cash and ALOT of parts from all around.......

I'm no joke at CH :D ............ some of my credentials:
We were ranked 12 on the total renown leaderboards with the former squad.
Ranked 1 on one of the earlier wars and earned the Gold Cross the hard way.

bottom line: if you need help with CH on anything. Ammotypes, protection, mechdesign.....you know where to find me; i guess.
